i have a vision...m

it's here!

we ordered my green vision:m from amazon last monday, at sa office nila je namin pinadeliver to make sure na may tatanggap. pag sa bahay kasi, iiwan lang sa doorstep namin yon. eh pag umulan, yari! =P ayoko naman sa office namin, they might not handle it with care the way my hubby will. naks! =P

so yesterday afternoon, i got an email from hubby, telling me the good news that the mp3 player was delivered. bad news, it's in black. sobrang nag-dive yung spirits ko, i was expecting to get the green player that day. but i got the black one, so that means, i have to endure 3 more days when amazon ships the correct item.

i asked him to double check, and this was hubby's reply email...
tinignan ko uli yung labas ng box
pero black talaga e. buksan ko na ba para sure? =)

gano ka ba ka-atat dito? para alam ko kung hihingi ba ako ng discount o ng kapalit pag tumawag ako sa customer service. :p
btw ule, sa top right corner ng black box, merong sticker na nakalagay, Green yung player sa loob, hehehe! :-*

he played a practical joke on me! wondering how it happened? highlight the text of his email above and read it again.

ganyang-ganyan yung nakasulat sa email ko. and since it's not my habit of highlighting my email before reading it, di ko nakita yung hidden messages. inis na inis ako kay je, primarily kasi paniwalang-paniwala akong mali yung delivery! i even mentioned the delivery error on my email to jenny, a friend from my prev work. AND he was testing me kung papayag akong sya ang magbukas nung box. hahaha! i'm gonna get even, one of these days. humphf!

so anyways, finally i was able to lay hands on my player last night. i charged it for 2 hours then puno na agad! =D explore-explore muna ako. and i have to stop myself from loading it up with files. that would mean i'm gonna stay late, and it was already midnight when it charged full. so ayun, testing-testing muna kung gumagana nga. there were some cool samples that we used to test if everything is working ok.

hubby je was impressed. so am i. it was more than what i imagined it would be. (ang OA!) there were some cool things i noticed that i didn't read on the reviews:

• when the player is idle, the backlight "dims" down gradually. and when you "wake it up" by pressing any key or moving along the touch pad, the screen lights up gradually too! it solicited "oooh"s and "aaaah"s from me and je. it doesn't wake up like it's on steroids and flashes a suddenly bright screen. it's like the Fade transition on powerpoint slideshows, only this is concerned with just the backlight.
• the touch pad was cool! i've read reviews that it's hard to use. or maybe being the laptop-enthusiasts that we are, we found it easy to use. =D
• i loooove the shortcut button. i set it to recording through the mic. it will definitely be handy when we go shopping and want to canvass prices. we recorded sample audio, and the sound was crisp and clear.
• the FM tuner can automatically seek and set the presets. no need to seek first then set the preset. you can re-arrange them later too. AND, while you're listening, you could pull up the list of the presets (and see the station it's set to) and choose by simply scrolling up and down the list.
• it detects if you don't have an earphone plugged in when an alarm is set and it's about to go off. i don't find this useful though. hehe!
• you could set the alarm to turn on the radio or play any track from your library. that beats the usual and annoying "beep-beep" alarms. i think you will need a speaker dock though, unless you sleep with the earphones on. =P
• you can zoom in to the pictures. although it is limited, it's a pretty decent digizoom.
• although this is primarily an mp3 player than a movie player, the screen quality is great! the 2.5 inches is not that bad, i thought i will have to squint to watch properly, but nope. it's just right for one person-viewing. the screen still looks "normal" even at a sideview angle. i hope it will fare well when there's sunlight. of course, the 3.7 inches of Vision is still to beat, but on its own, i think this is good.
• it has a setting that regulates the volume of your audio files and makes sure that your songs play at a consistent volume. no more jumping up because the next mp3 on your list was recorded louder than the rest.
  

these are just about all the review i could give for now. i am yet to put in more files into it, and tinker around the other features.

i'm one happy camper now. =D
