have a break, have an earphone

i brought je's mp3 player to the office today. i didn't use it until now (lunch time), coz i have stuff to do. actually, i have a lot to do. but i'm taking it one step at a time. yesterday afternoon, i was soooo overwhelmed, that i end up not accomplishing anything, even when i stayed an hour longer (gasp! one hour overtime is too much for me now!). so now, once i get one thing working, i take a break. like what i'm doing right now.

anyways, as i mentioned, i easily lose concentration while programming when i have more-than-faint background music. to my officemates in SPI, yep, now you know when i have my earphones on, i'm not busy, OR, somebody is too loud so i had to block 'em out with nicer sounds. =P i usually listen to my fm player at SPI when i'm doing some routine work, like documentations, timesheets, reports, emails. but while coding a program, oh no! my brain doesn't like that. she likes music over work, so you know which one will have priority 1 on her processing unit. and i'm notorious for writing down things that catch my attention. like when i hear an officemate telling a story, i end up typing a word from her mouth to my code in c++. hehehe! my mind picks up junk and spits out info at times. =P

*stretches arms* this is life. listening to nice music while taking a break from work. still basking in the warm feeling of happiness for getting one piece of work done. *stretches some more*
