misc on breakfast and anniversaries

i want to talk about my work. but it has given me headaches in the past week until this morning, that i've decided i won't. =P last week was still ok, busy but fruitful. but yesterday, i was a total wreck.

i've proven, for the nth time, that i can't work properly with an empty stomach. specifically, without a good startup breakfast. i modified my codes aimlessly, missing critical points and overwriting files. i was running late so i didn't get to take breakfast that morning. i only had 4 chocolate chip cookies for snack, had a 2:30pm lunch consisting of two meatballs and a few "spoons" of rice. i stayed in the office for 12.5 hours (my record, so far). couldn't get the damn thing to work, so i've decided to go home and call it a day. i drove through heavy rains and a thunderstorm, cursing every other minute when a lightning cuts through the sky, making me feel like i'm gonna get hit any moment. when i got home, hubby je already had his sinaing cooking, but the ulam is still thawing on the sink. so i had a garlic bread, pantawid-gutom. hubby je fell asleep on the couch after taking pain reliever pills for his headache, so i just retreated to the computer room to watch "Bituing Walang Ningning" online. chika with my mama and papa on the phone, then i went to the bedroom to get some shuteye.

when i opened my eyes, it's already 6am. je and i both missed dinner and (over)slept on different beds (couch = bed, at times). what a life! or lack thereof. *LOL*

last friday was our first year wedding anniversary. i would screen out the events since i think my hubby would want it to remain a private affair. but just a leakage...

i was given 2 free tickets to the pre-season Buccaneers football game. our company owns this luxury suite at the stadium, and when they don't have clients coming over to see the games, they give out the tickets to employees. my manager (who was recently promoted to a director) gave me 2 tickets, which entitled me (and guest, in this case, alfredo) to free food, free drinks, free stay at the company's luxury suite. they served chicken wings, chili hotdogs, nacho chips (cheese dip was heavenly!), potato chips, cookies, brownie fudge and of course, sodas, beers, bottled mineral water. we had some freebies as well. feels like royalty!

we got lost on our way home from the stadium. di tuloy kami umabot sa dinner date namin. we had some-sort-of-dinner-date though. tom-jones na kami eh, at walang food sa bahay, so kain kami sa labas. =D we had fun getting lost though. hehehe!

one year passed by so quickly. we didn't even realize we're already living on our own for a year now. i guess time really flies fast when you're having fun. =)
