slowing down
a lot has happened in the past month.
roller coaster of emotions + a bajillion of things to do both at work + for personal stuff = stress.
hubby je and i made a to-do list, and we've been doing a great job crossing out items. i would like to think that after a month of crossing things off our to-do list, i should be winding down. but i guess i'm not.
when mama and papa came in, they have their own to-do list, and we're kind of starting all over again. needless to say, medyo stressful kasi instead of tumunganga na lang ako (dahil nga tapos na yung to-do list namin ni je), i assist them sa to-do list nila. even if they want to clean the house while i'm at the office, i can't let them. kasi baka may itapon silang kailangan pa namin. so we had an agreement na bago nila itapon, they will let me go through it first. it works well for the most part. but the thing is, they work kinda fast and i have to catch up with them kasi kukulitin nila ako (read: "tignan mo na yung mga expired na pagkain, itapon mo na yung expired na talaga", "pwede na bang itapon yung mga nakasalansan na yon? tignan mo nga para maisama na sa basura", etc.)
don't get me wrong, i appreciate the help. =) it's just that sana mag-slow down muna kami. they wanted to clean the entire house before Pistoy is born. =P
so far, they've cleared the pantry, the kitchen, the bedroom attic, the small guest room.
on their to-do list is the shed (a big project), the computer room (a bigger project!), Pistoy's stuff, the curtains, and the shrubs sa front lawn.
we might also go through all my stuff to see if there's anything they can salvage and send back to pinas. so far, we've filled up a balikbayan box with stuff we're not using here. like a foot massager, a barbecue grilling set, a couple of wall clocks, and lots of little anik-anik na hindi pa nagagamit, pero most likely di na gagamitin (for example: beer pong game set, hehe!).
yung ibang gamit ko, gusto ko na lang dalhin sa goodwill store. they're not in that good a condition to send to my cousins back home, pero nakakahinayang naman itapon. let this be a lesson for me and hubby je to stop hoarding. hehe!
i really want to slow down. i should be getting sleep. i need to unwind. i will unwind. *breathe in, breathe out*
