new mattress

since mama and papa will be staying with us for a few months, we have to make sure they have a bed. i don't think mama will survive sleeping sa air bed this time. the last time she slept in one of those, sumakit likod nya. hehe! wala kasi kaming kama sa guest room eh. whenever we have guests, sa air bed lang sila natutulog. we gotta buy a new mattress.

since buntis ako, i selfishly thought i should get the new mattress. hehehe! our old bed will be the guest room's bed (and mama and papa's), and yung bago ang sa amin. we thought we'd upgrade as well to a Queen or a King size. Full bed will not have enough room pag may nakikihiga na rin sa kama bukod sa amin ni je. hehe!

so we went mattress hunting last weekend. had i known it'll be hard for me to lie down and test beds in my current state, matagal ko na sanang kinarir ang pamimili ng kama. i end up sitting on it only, and lying down on just a few na talagang gusto ko. hubby je was the guinea pig, sya ang humihiga to test the bed. 

after just a day of shopping, and after visiting 4 stores around the area, we decided on a Simmons Beautyrest Belmont Plush. apparently, yun daw ang ginagamit sa mga Westin hotels. nice!

this morning, they delivered the bed. hubby je did the dirty job of moving the old one to the guest room, and installing the new one in our room. we said goodbye to the bed we've known for sooo long. it's bittersweet. ang drama, haha! i know we could still use that bed if we want to, nasa kabilang room lang naman eh. but it's like saying goodbye to an old wallet. it will take a lot of getting used to. =)

i can't wait to lie down on the new bed though. should be nice. hopefully i'll get better sleep too. hello, new mattress! =)
