mentee-less(?) and itim's diagnosis

first off, Itim is alive and well again! nauhaw lang ata sya. the radiator fluid was completely drained, kaya hindi na nya makuhang sumipsip dun sa reserba. how could i forget that?! that's one of the basic things to check sa kotse... tubig at langis. nasanay ata ako sa pinas na may taga-check ako ng kotse before ko gamitin. aka, si papa. hehehe!

so Itim is perfectly fine na ulet. ni hindi nga napupunta sa kalahati ng gauge yung needle ngayon eh. =)

another good news is... i finally heard back from my mentee, Michelle! she's back in the US after extending her vacation sa Chile for a month. she emailed me at work. she said she's got tons of stories to tell me, but she's not sure if she's still a doorways scholar since she missed a month of school already. which means, we might not meet for lunch at school na. she also told me she transfered schools kasi they moved to a different part of the city na. since schools are determined by zones, she can't attend sa old high school nya. it kinda sucks, but that's how the system works. oh well.

anyway, so i told her we could still go out for dinner or something and catch up. i am waiting for her to reply. it's just a relief to hear she's ok naman. and i am happy that she kept in touch with me when she had the time. =) i am sooo looking forward to seeing her again. i bet she'll be surprised at how big i've grown. =P

i guess i am still mentee-less since hindi pa kami sure kung may program yung new school nya for the scholarship. kung wala, sayang naman. oh well ulet. yung parents na nya nagdecide non eh, so they probably think it's best for her.
