happy wedding campers

i just realized, while i was reading people's blogs, that quite a number of weddings are coming this year!

there's geri, getting married this saturday!!! congrats and best wishes to Raymond and Gretchen, errr, Geri! =D i thought geri will never marry. seriously! she didn't strike me as someone who will commit, and cook, and do laundry, and care about somebody more than she cares about herself. don't get the impression that she's selfish, she's the exact opposite! she's very generous with the blessings she receives, it's just that i thought she would be like the forever independent, self-sufficient career woman. "nurturing-wife-in-the-making" is probably the last thing i'd call her, until she met raymond, her Pangs. we were all shocked with the news that she's getting married, only a few months after they got together. we thought she was preggy, and we thought she was out of her mind! =P but when she talks about him, we see an entirely different geri in her eyes, it's as if she's from another galaxy. she's learned to cook, and is still learning how to be "domesticated". and so we knew she got hit big time. =) she took a great leap of faith, so to speak. and we are all happy for her! gewi, all the best for you and your pangs, gurl! luv yah! *hugs*

and there's anshe, the exact opposite of geri. everything i've written above, flip it, and that's her! hehehe! anshe and jeff have been going steady ("going steady"? so 80's! hehe!) for eternity. =P we witnessed anshe all giddy during our senior year in college. we've seen them both transform to more mature individuals, we've seen them both gain and lose weight (whoever gained and whoever lost some, go figure. hehehe!), we've seen them in their good and bad moods together. =) we were getting impatient that they weren't planning their wedding yet. until anshe broke the news that they were already engaged! it's like a long-awaited moment to exhale. they've had their share of rollercoaster ride of emotions since then. to the point where they almost called the wedding off. but these guys are just MFEO, nothing's gonna stop them. they are still in their preps for the wedding, but i see no reason to doubt that these two are gonna spend the rest of their lives together. i can almost hear the little jeffs and little anshes bringing down the house, running, yelling, throwing things around. anshe will definitely be a good wife and mother, her caring nature sustained our kada in some ways, like she's the only one who sweeps the floor of the studio where we were doing our theses. jeff, just hold on to that helmet a little bit longer. peace anshe! =P

and lastly, jane and oneal. it's like a mac marrying a pc. =P these two geniuses will probably have everything automated for their wedding. ;-P but seriously, oneal striked me as someone who will not leave a stone unturned in caring for our dear little, errr, littleR janey. i didn't have that much encounter with this couple personally, but i'm proud that i was there (well, around the vicinity, hehe!) when oneal proposed to jane for marriage. the first time i saw them together, jane was on a hospital bed getting ready for a heart operation. oneal, who just flew in from Chicago, was sitting on a chair beside her, stroking her hand. it was far from my mind that this scene could be repeated over and over during their lifetime, as husband and wife. but of course, i hope jane will not have another heart operation. =P i've heard of their stories of struggle, but not once did i hear any of them complain about it. they've been through a lot as a couple, that i think a marriage certificate is just a formality to seal their promise to stay together, no matter what. i've known jane since high school, and she is a very intelligent girl. i knew someday she's gonna be silly, and fall in love. this is her time. =) there could never be a more perfect timing.

I know it is, but...hmmm...let's just say you're the salt to the wound.

    In a good way. :)

I think I should not comment on matters I know clearly so little about.

    Whoops. Too late. Heehee.

All the best for the nearing newly weds. :)
