goody box!

it's Christmas all over again!

i just got a box from my uncle in NY. he sent over some of the stuff brough in by our balikbayan relatives. i was like a little kid opening a gift on a Christmas morning! =P

let's see, i'm gonna try to make an inventory:

• 2 pairs of shoes - one pair is my first ever white shoes! my fave, ever-loyal, ever-comfy pair of white semi-rubber, semi-leather shoes. it was the pair that my friends in the office (downna, caths and maricoru) always ask of.. "ganda nyan ah, san mo binili?", over and over and over again. like 5 times in a minute, in different voice tones (bored, surprised, excited, etc.) =P the other pair is a white leather slip-on. i'd call it tsinetos, sort of crossbreed of tsinelas and sapatos.
• 5 blouses - for the first time (ok, maybe second time), my mom got my taste in clothes! she would always buy me the loud tops, screaming "diva", or "unconventional", or "fashionista"... but we would quarrel afterwards coz i won't wear them. =P my mom is a certified fashionista. lahat match! top, pants, shoes, bag, accessories. sometimes even manicure and pedicure. pero this time, she hit the jackpot! ang gaganda, at mukhang kaya kong isuot lahat. mostly are haltered, spag-strapped, see-throughs, pero kebs, this is Florida! =)
• 4 belts - yes, the hip-flattering ones. moms really know best. she knows how big my hips are, and she encourages me to highlight it. hehehe! i bet the one with seashells on it will make most whites here jealous. they are expensive, at least here in the US.
• earrings, necklaces, bracelets - almost every kind of them! may pearls, beads, crystals, metal-like, and the ones that are really, really colorful. now i have to find neutral color tops so it won't scream "exagg"! hehehe! they were really nice. i wanted to wear all of them all at the same time! i can't wait!
• make up kit - yep, knowing i'm morena (ok, maybe a bit darker than that, but let me be, it's still the holidays), they picked the right tones for eye shadows, face powders, blush-on and lipstick. i even got the plastic eyelash curlers i requested! may mascara pa! =)
• card from my cousin Lei, and her debut invites and souvenir - there were several songs that i like dun sa souvenir cd nya. and maybe the reason why she sent over an invite is because yun yung regalo namin sa kanya. hehehe! man, i can still remember my own debut party, and now, here's my cousin having her own debut party na. we ARE getting old. =P
• CDs!!! - my brother really knows i looove CDs! he bought "Barbie - The Singles", and recorded Side A and Parokya ni Edgar for me! i immediately ripped them to our pc, before anything else happens to it. hehehe! je borrowed the Parokya cd as soon as he heard me play the "First Day Funk" on our pc. =P
• my ube halaya! - yep! they got a couple of plastic containers through the immig this time! to the immig officers in Detroit, belat senyo, kala nyo ha! mwehehe! i ripped open the plastic containers and took a spoonful of ube from both containers to check if they are ok. they were saved!!! =) the macapuno didn't make it though. =( but it's ok, it was all good! i love papa's ube more. =)
• tshirts for je - my folks gave a navy blue Lacoste polo-shirt and a light blue polo-cum-muscle shirt to je. the second one almost didn't fit him. well, maybe if he won't wear an undershirt, it'll fit him perfectly.

so there you go, my post-Christmas presents! i reserved a special place in the fridge for the ube, and i kept all the CDs in my case. as for my getup stuff, i'd beat the winter season just to wear them. goodluck na lang na di ako mapulmunya. hehehe!

time for sound trip again! *drops the First Day Funk steps*
