boggled bogglers

this is a weird past time we're getting addicted to: playing boggle online. =P

je and i play boggle as a team. when you see "team pinoy" or "team ang" on the list of players, that's us! =) we usually play when we don't feel like watching tv and we don't have anything to do. hey, don't get me wrong, we have "other" things to do to keep ourselves "busy", but there are times when we want to do something "intellectually competitive" together. hehehe! ;-)

i would say i hate competing about brainteasers and trivia stuff, maybe because i'm not a big fan of those. but when i compete side by side with je, it feels different. it's a sense of accomplishment when we get a unique word, or get a long word, or land within the top10. the highest we've landed on is top2! =)

like everything else that we've done together (mow the lawn, assemble cabinets, shop, cook, etc.), i feel like it brings us closer together. it reflects our teamwork. i take care of the short words, he takes care of the long ones. sometimes i overlook a word, and he "saves" us. at times, it's the other way around. we end up maximizing our time and efforts. i don't do it my way, he doesn't do it his way, we do it our way, and we win. what's amazing is that we have different ways of pattern-looking, and it's working to our advantage. so whoever said couples should always have the same wavelengths is joking. being the opposites also has its ups.
it's inspiring to see couples compete together on tv: Fear Factor, Amazing Race, etc... they realize their strengths and weaknesses, and both try to complement the other. when one is ready to give up, the other stands up for both of them. you'd also see couples on their way to splitsville. when one messes up, the other points a finger. it's commercialized reality tv, but you learn a lot from them too.

we don't mind doing teamwork with just the two of us... but we could use other pinoys' help on the boggle thingy. sali kayo! =P
