chipped and dale
some random stuff going on sa aking life:
pots and pans
hubby je brought home a new set of non-stick pots and pans. it's time to retire the ones we're using, dahil natutuklap na yung teflon. just $30 for 6 pieces. the box says 16 pieces: it includes the 4 lids and 6 cooking utensils na pala. sows!
anyways, i should feel energetic about cooking. well, i am. kaya lang natatakot akong ilapat yung utensils sa mismong kaldero, ayokong ma-chip na naman yung teflon! *lol*
dale carnegiezed
i got an award dun sa dale carnegie class ko! we spoke for a couple of minutes in front of the group about an incident when we showed genuine interest in other people, and made them feel important. then we voted for the best story and delivery.
i was particularly not prepared for the class and that talk, but i bagged the award along with another speaker. hehe! i guess my high school and college ways of "winging it" is still working. hehehe!
i'm liking the classes kasi it doesn't dwell on grammar and spelling and the rules. it's how you say it, and how you capture and hold your audience's attention. our instructor made us do silly stuff in front of the group, pero it's all geared towards overcoming our fear of humiliation in public speaking.
it's also not just about public speaking. it's about how to win people to your side, to encourage them to do things you want them to do. persuasion. but they won't call it that. hehe!
i'm also starting to enhance my memory. i think. they have little tricks for that.
