sorry, we're closed
after all the scrubbing, wiping, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, mowing, snipping, washing, moving and hiding (hiding stuff that is), we didn't get even a single soul to view the house at the open house last sunday! *insert wailing here*
we started the preparations on friday night. we gathered all the things we're going to put away (temporarily) to stage the house. we packed them in boxes, and loaded 'em up in our cars.
the whole day of saturday, we did most of the cleaning work. hubby je mowed the lawn, "landscaped" the shrubs, mopped the floor, "blown" the leaves (so much better than raking them), and several other things i asked him to do. hehe! fortunately, he wasn't in his oc-oc state, so we got a lot of stuff done. he was in charge of outside the house, me on the inside. it always work that way. hehe! we stayed up a little late waiting for the dryer. i don't want our clothes to stay there overnight, it will only get more wrinkled. =P (yan ang oc-oc! hehe!)
sunday morning, i just cleaned the guest bathroom (i did the other one on saturday), the kitchen sink, and put away a few more little things. hubby je took care of cleaning the patio and the walls outside the house. by 12noon, we've already taken a bath and ready to leave the house. we called our realtor to let him know we are ready. 12:30pm, we're on the road, going on a date.
we had lunch at Applebee's, then watched Fantastic Four 2. After the movie, hubby je called up our realtor to ask how it went. nobody came. huwaaaat?! *argh* Mr Realtor said it's really a bad market lately. so many properties on sale, so few buyers. *ungh*
before heading home, we dropped by an ice cream parlor and indulged ourselves. that coffee-ice-cream-based sundae, with brownies, chopped almonds, fudge, whipped cream and cherry on top, helped a bit.
that night, we both have headaches. and i thought it was the body ache that we should anticipate.
