digicam hunt
wala akong sarili kong digicam ngayon, dahil iniwan ko kay cabron yung binili ko dati, a Casio Exilim EX-Z50. i'm seriously thinking about upgrading our 4MP, 2.8x optical zoom, wedding-gift digicam to something with more features. needless to say, this would be the perfect timing, in time for sarah's upcoming concert. (yeah, yeah, i know! sarah na naman! hehehe! eh bakit ba, blog ko to!)
so i'm now on a hunt for the right digicam. of course, the budget plays a big role. pero after finding out na i paid $400 for the digicam i left to bro (i can't believe ganon kamahal yon! nung binili ko parang mura pa eh!), i know that if i could find a deal around $300, that will definitely make me feel good. i have my "at-least" list. 5MP, 4X optical zoom, 2fps in continuous shots, image stabilizer, and the build should be compact. i could go for an SLR for a couple more hundred, pero aanhin ko naman yon? the biggest turnoff on the SLRs for me is the price, and then the bulkiness. other than those 2, it's gonna be perfect for shooting pics talaga.
so there, i'm settling on a compact. i emailed cindy the photographer (check out her work, there's a link here on my blog) and she gave me a website where i could do a side-by-side comparison of the cams. really nice!!! =)
on top of my list right now is Canon Powershot SD700 IS. i could go for the SD800, but i'm not very impressed with the reviews i've read. they were saying that besides the MP, there's not much difference in the features. plus, the optical zoom is only 3.8x. hehehe! would 0.2 really matter?!
if by monday, i still haven't decided whether to buy or not, i'll let it go. but if this weekend, i couldn't stop thinking about it, i'll go for it. =)

Hi TP! Ok nga ung SD700 IS.. yan din first choice ko KUNG magpapalit ako ng digicam.. hehe.. obvious ba na wala pa akong balak magpalit.. hehe..nweis, try mo rin tignan ung A700. Medyo bulky rin sya like the SLRs pero mas maliit nmn...6X kasi ung optical zoom nya and pede ka rin kasing mag-add ng zoom lens pa for higher zoom option. Btw, ung mga SD models nmn pede mag-11x na zoom kung nakalarge size format ka ng image (highest resolution possible) kaya lng medyo blurry na yung captured image.
