bday pasasalamat
i missed blogging!
first of all, salamat sa mga naka-alala at bumati sa akin nung bday ko!!!
my bday fell on a friday, so may pasok sa work. at meron pang na-assign na work ticket saken that day, buti na lang madali lang. hehehe! after work, je and i went out for dinner. pagbalik ng bahay, nood ng tv. that's just about how i spent my bday. oh, and i opened my gifts... a fink laptop sleeve, and the underwater casing for my Canon SD700!!!! *hugs hubby je ulet* pwede nang gamitin pag nag-dive or snorkel kami sa cebu!
sunday was superbowl day... tinaon na namin yung bday celeb ko dun... so we had a party at home. we invited a few family friends aside from the entire family. nagluto ako ng stapegi at chicken wings. je bought barbecued pulled pork from a resto. nagdala ng biko yung isang friend namin dito, si angela. i also prepared almond-lychee dessert, which is just canned lychees, with canned langka, and cubed canned almond jelly, plus some ice. hehehe! patok naman, wala pang hirap! i miss mama's fruit salad, but i figured this almond-lychee thing is easier to prepare. i'll just reserve the fruit salad for when we go home. =D
bumenta yung luto ko! hehehe! mas mabenta yung salt-and-pepper chicken wings ko kesa sa spag. first time kong nagluto ng spag na mahigit 1 kilo, kaya ata parang nasira yung timpla ko. pero pag may cheese, ok naman daw sabi ng sis-in-law ko, si vivian. well, she claimed to be a cheese person, kaya siguro masarap. hehehe!
we had a blast at the party, medyo nakakapagod yung pagprepare at pagligpit, pero masaya naman. =) we still have 18 bottles of Bud Light, 16 bottles of Smirnoff fruit-flavored drinks, and 4 bottles of San Mig Light. hubby je, doesn't drink, so go figure how we're gonna get rid of it. =P
ngayon ko lang na-realize na kahit ako ang bday celebrant, ako ang walang totoong orig friends dun sa party! all my friends who came are friends because an in-law is their friend, or because they are extended family. hayyy. when bespren ria called me, i was feeling nostalgic. having to celebrate my bday away from my family and friends that i've known all my life.
eto na naman ako. i have to accept the fact that it's gonna like this always. unless we go home for my bday, or christmas, or new year, or whatever special occasion there is to celebrate. oh well, we've got lots of beer at home, so when this homesicky feeling hits me again, i'll just down a couple of bottles.
it's oktober fest in february! =P
UPDATE: i was checking blogs this morning, and may dagdag lang ako sa TY list ko...

- may mga nag-email (mareng tenten, ple, jot, "ninang" chona cachero, shobe, vero, maricoru, caths, downna, patsy, rv, jane, borj, anshe, erlyn, my SNAT family, my cousin lei)
- may mga nag-friendster message (irvie, hyden, esi, froilan, kenneth, todd, tita glenda-ganda... i'm sure she's reading this. hahaha!)
- may nagpadala pa ng "digital greetings"(sila maricoru), high tech!
- may mga nag-text din saken (abby-my-future-sis-in-law, bro, kakak/dardrein, in-laws here in the US)
- meron din bumati through a testimonial sa friendster, si guen. hehehe!
- may nag-message sa YM, si nyapot! *hugs*
- may nagleave ng msg dito sa blog ko... si tine at si heidz!

hahahah! ang daming natira ha.. pwede ka ulit magpa-party.. beer lang ang menu :p don't ya worry, kasama mo naman si hubby je sa future bdays mo e.. hay nakakamiss talaga ang family and friends.. i guess ganun talaga ang life :) happy bday ulit harbie beybe!
