weekend with the wees and the wii
nick and patsy were here in florida last weekend. it was so refreshing to see people from my "past life". hehehe! and it was even better that we get to hang out with them and arlene, a future in-law of nick and patsy, who's based here in FL. hehehe!
they got here last friday, around lunch time. after a stressful drive-thru at a chinese fast food chain (stressful because the attendant taking the order is not the listening type, and when somebody did listened, he couldn't understand what we were trying to order, ungh!), we stayed at home to rest a while. then we headed off to the beach. i guess we were too early since the stalls were not setup yet. when they started coming, we decided to have some ice cream first, then strolled some more while waiting for them to setup.
when 4pm came, we called up arlene, the gf of nick's cousin, who's working at a nearby hospital. we decided to meet up, so we headed off to her place, with no maps. we got lost, and i had to call hubby je to give us directions to where we are going. after about an hour or so, we were finally sitting at arlene's living room area. we then headed off to the mall for dinner, and some window shopping. when it's time to go home, we went back to arlene's place to pick up her stuff. she's staying at our place for the night so we could leave early the next day for orlando.
when we got home, hubby je triumphantly announced the wii has arrived! we were expecting it'll be delivered later of the coming week. but it was expedited or something. hehehe! so there we were, playing the sports package that comes with the wii... tennis, baseball, bowling, boxing... that wii thing is sooo cool! =) we really had fun, laughing with, and at, each other. hehehe! i think na-convince si nick na bumili ng wii. hehehe! ;-)
next day, got up early and left for orlando at around 7am. we got there 10 minutes before Universal Studios opened up. hehehe! we went to the Islands of Adventure first. no lines on The Hulk, Spiderman, Doctor Doom, Duelling Dragons (at the Ice only, we got caught in technical problems at the Fire) and other rides! By lunch time, people started pouring in. good thing nakasakay na kami sa mga rides na usually mahaba ang pila. after lunch, we strolled some more (no more extreme rollercoasters, kakakain lang), then went to the other park, the Universal Studios. there was a looong line sa The Mummy, but it was worth the wait. there were a couple of rides na may technical difficulties, so we didn't get to see them. i think we also went to see Shrek 4D. pagod na kami by this time, kaya tipid na kami sa kakalakad. oh, and we also watched Fear Factor Live! they scout for contestants at the park, then they do stunts just like on tv. it was cool! =)
on the way home, we decided to stop by the Orlando Premium Outlets. dinner muna, then shopping galore sila patsy! hubby je and i just waited at the tables, kasi sakit na ng paa, and we're not looking for anything to buy naman. i fell asleep pa nga kahit nakaupo lang eh. anyways, after the shopping, we headed home na. when we got home, arlene just picked up her stuff, then we went out to give her a ride home naman. pag-uwi, bulagta kaming 4! =P i don't think i even get to say good night, kasi pagkabihis at punas, higa na agad ako. =P
next day, we woke up just about the right time. nick and patsy got ready for their trip back to Ohio na. we just had breakfast sa IHOP, then diretso na sa airport. just in time lang kami, kasi pagdating sa airport, sandaling chika lang then goodbye na. i can't believe tapos na yung trip nila dito! ang bilis! i wished mas marami kaming napuntahan. pero mas malalayo kasi eh, and i'm not good with directions pa. hehehe! di bale, maybe next time. =)
or, kami naman ang pupunta ng Ohio... but definitely not winter time. =P
