on reality shows

i must confess, i'm getting addicted to the reality shows on tv. i get affected knowing that somebody voted someone out, that somebody might make a wrong decision, stuff like that. pathetic, i know. but i'm not the only one. my husband dreamt he was on Amazing Race. tell me he's not into it too. =P

first, there's my fave Amazing Race. i feel bad when the Godlewski sisters were eliminated, but i felt worse when one of them said nothing will change with the way they will treat each other. c'mon! after all that adrenaline-pumping action, wouldn't you feel a closer bond with your sisters? i think i would. (if i have a sister, of course. =p) but whoever is in that race, and have gone that far, i think you are bound to share something more special with the people you are racing with. you beat the other teams through teamwork, doesn't it count? maybe they were too frustrated they got eliminated that they haven't realized that yet.

season finale is this coming tuesday, can't wait to see it! i'm ok with the Linz or the Bransen families, anybody but the Weavers. hehehe! =p

and then there's Survivor. "scumbags!" somehow, Judd made our day when he was voted out at the tribal council. he was later interviewed (we saw the video clip on the internet), and a caller told him he was a sore loser. well, yes he is. but that's what will make him famous. he didn't get to the final 4, but he made a grand exit. when he was voted out, the remaining 5 were aggitated. everybody was paranoid. while we were watching the episode last night, we couldn't help but speculate on all the angles of mind games they might play on each other. cindy got voted out. so maybe she was right with the pattern. whoever was not told of a plan, she or he is next to go.

Survivor ends this sunday with a 2-hour season finale. i don't think we could catch it, we'll be in Orlando (DisneyWorld, woo-hoo!). but thank God for DVRs!!!! we will just record it, and watch it as soon as we have time. just have to make sure we'll have enough space on the disc. i don't think i could forgive myself if i'd forget to check again! *makes a note on my to-do- list*

lastly, there's America's Next Top Model.

oops, don't give me the violent reactions yet! when i told je that i'm getting addicted to the reruns, he instantly commented "ano ba naman yung taste mo!". hahaha! i know what he meant.
i'm not sure if it's famous back in the Philippines, so i'll give some background info. it's about model wannabes, who are high on emotions and bitchiness. drama queens, primadonnas, divas... all in one reality game show about the industry with the most number of skinniest girls alive, modelling.

i love the photoshoots, the ramp strutting, the unconventional hair and make-ups. but i start hitting the forward button when they are showing the models in their apartment. sometimes i find something interesting, but most of the time, it's their whining, backbiting and gossiping that gets into me.

the photo shoots were great! you could see that some are born with just a pretty face, but others were born for it: artistic poses, facial expressions and body language. imagine posing with snakes, tarantulas, in roller skates, in the air... after jumping off the trampoline! the shoots were so cool! =D the models look good too, they are the ones who would make you wanna buy that insanely expensive pair of jeans from Guess, because it looks so damn sexy on her.

i'm not sure if there's a new season coming up. i don't even know the names of the girls yet. but i do have some ideas on what pose looks good on print, and how to improve posture while walking.


reality shows aren't that bad after all. =) go ahead, indulge.
