customer care

i just called up Philips customer care to ask about the volume indicator display of the tv. i was surprised to hear a familiar twang in the customer rep's voice. hehehe!

I heard the familiar "actually" in almost every two of her sentences, and when she pronounced my lastname, it's "ignaciow", not the usual "igneyshow" slang. almost perfect, just the "w" at the end. just wondering. =)

oh, and when i said "i want to see the indicator on screen when i turn up the volume", she repeated my sentence, "you would like to see the bars when you increase the volume?". now, i haven't heard an American say "increase the volume", they usually say "turn up the volume" or something to that effect. that's actually the reason why i said that in the first place. (there goes my "actually"!)

wala lang. it just feels good to play with my mind, believe that the girl is a pinoy, and imagine a room in makati where this girl might be. maybe also wondering if i'm a Filipino, since we both have the same accent. i was itching to ask her, but prudently resolved not to. i might offend the girl if i was mistaken. knowing that it is not far from reality gave me a sense of being at home. by the way, her name is jenny. sayang, if it was pokwang or neneng or inday, it would've been a giveaway! =P

does anybody know if the Philips support team is in the Phils.? =D say hello to the folks if you know anybody from there. tell them it's from the lady with a sexy voice in Florida. mwehehe!

  • hello..bloghopped from caths,

well, here also i would have doubts to ask whether pinay or not un kausap ko but i still ask anyway...'ah pinay/pinoy/pilipino to?', when they don't respons then they're not, but mostly they'll say, 'ay oo kabayan?!' ehheeh
