home sweet home
yes, i am back home from NY! =) fortunately, Je kept the house well naman. i was expecting na magiging makalat pag-uwi ko, pero surprisingly, maayos! good job mister! *hugs*
wala akong maikuwento dito, kasi wala naman kaming pinuntahan. no violent reactions please! hehehe! this is the 3rd time na nagpunta ako don, and yung first 2 times, Thanksgiving at Christmas of 2003. action-packed yung first 2 times, kaya siguro they decided to keep me "domesticated" this time.
THURSDAY
- got there around noon time. nag-takeout lang kami ng chinese food, at pagkakain ng lunch, i slept until 5:30pm. eh bakit ba, antok ako eh! we were on a tv marathon until around 11pm, pinanood ko lahat ng teleserye, pantaserye, at kung anu-anong serye sa TFC. grabe, hayok na hayok ako sa Pinoy channel. =P i was watching tv habang nagbabalot ng lumpiang shanghai. =)
FRIDAY
- namalengke kami ng tita ko sa Main St... andaming chinese, parang chinatown! hehehe! tapos pag-uwi, nagsimula na kaming magluto. inuna muna namin yung mga hindi madaling mapanis. tapos naghiwa na kami ng pansahog para naman sa mga dishes na iluluto the next day. i cried with the onions, and messed up the garlic, but all in all, it was a nice bonding experience... with the knife. errr, with my tita pala. hehehe!
- i met abby agaton for dinner. we met in front of an Old Navy store along Main street, and walked around the area to find a nice resto. we came across this nice Thai/Malaysian resto named Green Papaya. it's a cozy little resto who wouldn't take credit cards. hehehe! anyways, the food was great, and what made it even greater was that abby paid for it! hehehe! we were talking nonstop... catching up on events, people, and almost everything we could talk about. natawa nga kami kasi sa NY pa kami nagkita at nakalabas, eh sa pinas bihira kami makagimik non. =P she and janelle will be coming to Florida on Feb for a marathon. sabi ko kung di na kami makalabas ulet sa NY, sa FL na lang kami ulet gumimik. =) kainis nga eh, di ko nadala yung camera ko!!! stupid me!
SATURDAY
- THE day. we set up the basement for the party na, and people started coming in around 2pm. daming pinoy, at daming bata. hehehe! my uncle hired a magician, who is cute by the way. =P he's really good, and really young too. he's only 18 yrs old, but started doing tricks since he was 5. i only watch magic on tv at that age!
- during the show, the magician asked for a volunteer from the audience. my cousin obliged, since he's the bday boy. so he stood beside the magician, following instructions carefully. just then, a little girl with a tiny voice called out, "disappear the bday boy! make him disappear!" and everybody rolled in laughter. malditang bata! hehehe!
- i had some bonding time with my lolos and lolas there (mga kapatid ng lola ko sa mama's side). ngayon lang ulet nila ako nakita, at shempre ang pakilala sa akin, "panganay ni Ayet". it's flaterring, but in a way not good, coz they don't take the effort to memorize my name, as long as they know my mama's nickname is "Ayet".
SUNDAY
- ligpit ng party aftermath. almost noon na kami natapos, just enough time to shower and rush to hear mass. after that, house-hopping kami sa mga kamag-anak to say goodbye. monday morning kasi yung flight ko, i wouldn't be able to say goodbye na non. i was supposed to see abby sa marathon nga eh, di na ko nakapunta. i spent the evening with another uncle and his family, tito humphrey. unti-unti, naa-at-home na sa akin mga insan ko. malaki kasi ang age gap namin eh, kaya they somehow look at me like a tita or something like that. =P
MONDAY
- woke up, shower, go. na-delay pa yung flight namin ng 15 minutes, pero on-time pa rin arrival namin sa Florida. since i didn't take my breakfast that morning, inabuso ko yung free in-flight food. i asked for 2 cans of orange juice, pretzels and chocolate chunk cookies. hehehe! i didn't check-in my baggages para di na ko maghihintay sa baggage claim. i think i was the first passenger from our flight to leave the airport nga eh, hehehe!
ngayon, andito na ako sa tapat ng PC, checking my emails, writing this blog. i have 3 ulams in the fridge, pabaon sa akin from NY. paksiw na lechon, embotido, at dinuguan. may macaroni/chicken salad pa. =)
good to be back home, na-miss ko yung tsinelas ko eh! =p
