when kids say the darnest things

we went to the 4pm mass this afternoon. trip lang namin, para di na kami nagmamadaling gumising ng Sunday morning. =) when we arrived at the church, andaming tao, and we found our seats behind a couple and their two cute kids. the older one is a girl, probably around 4 or 5 years old, and the other one, a boy, maybe a year or 2 years old.

it must be the kids' first time to hear mass, the little girl keeps asking her mom what's happening.... in a voice loud enough for us to hear. the mom was really patient with her, shhhh-ing her before answering her questions.

when the younger one started screaming, the little girl shhh-ed him! it was adorable. she was acting like an adult for her kid brother. after being shhh-ed several times by her mom, she finally got the chance to get back... at her brother! hehehe! the father then took the boy at the back of the church to pacify him.

the mass went on. during the prayers of the faithful, the priest said something like "let us pray, that like Mary, we will be able to say 'Yes' to the Lord".... without batting an eyelash, the little girl said aloud "Yes!!". i had to stiffle a laugh. =)

but the best blow was during the consecration.. the priest prayed on "this is my BODY, which will be given up for you"... the little angel, in all her innocence, asked her mom out loud, "did he just say 'BUTT'?!?!?".
