Yes, I am still alive. maybe not kicking, but still kicking butt! =P
i just got several emails from dear friends asking how i am na.
and although it's not my business to give updates on my friends' lives, i'll just give updates na rin. hehehe!
Pareng Rommel!
ehem, mali pala ang intro ko... Doctor Rommel Guarin! one-shot sa boards! sabi na nga ba yung St. Luke's lang ang pasaway eh. kung nagdonate na kayo ng 1 air con unit, baka di na kayo masyadong kinarir ng mga yon. hehehe! Congratulations Pareng Rommel! celebrate tayo! nood daw tayo ng sine sa eSeM, magdala kayo ng civilian. hahaha! hubby je and i are soooo proud and happy for you and mareng tenten! DISISIT!
Momi Patsy
momi na si patsita! homaghad, parang kelan lang!!!! i'm so happy for her, at medyo inggit din sa lakas ng loob nya! aba, ilang oras lang pagkatapos manganak, kausap ko na sa phone. madali lang daw, kaya go na kami ni je! hahaha! putcha, kung ako siguro yon, magpapa-drama queen muna ako at "may-i-ouchie-ouchie" ako sa panganganak. well, i can't really tell, di pa naman ako nanganganak. hehehe! Congratulations Momi Patsy and Dadi Nick! *hugs*
Arvs
nag-1 year old na si baby Ryk! juskolord, parang kelan lang, ultrasound pa lang yon! hehehe! i am still to catch up on the pics and vids, pero sabi ni arvs, marami nang tricks si baby ryk. hahaha! parang doggie lang eh. =P
Mareng Borj
eto talagang mare ko. bininyagan na si Ariann Riej, and yes, ninang nga ako. hahaha! si bespren ria nakarating, kasi nasa pinas sya nung mga panahon na yon eh.
Espren Reeyuh
umuwi ng pinas kelan lang. mare, nakikiramay kami. mamuy is in a much better place now. *hugs*
Hyden and Liz
nasa pinas pala si bruhang hyden! binalita lang sa akin ni liz sa email. hehehe! di pa talaga kami nag-abot pero ok lang. si liz na lang babawi para saken nyan. liz, salamat pala sa email, biglang naputok ang aking bubble sa work. hehehe!
ok, and now for myself....
andami na ngang nangyari since we got back, pero ang constant lang is yung pagkabusy sa trabaho. nandito pa ko sa office while i write this. parang i can see smoke through my ears kaya i decided to take a break. break... where else, but sa harap pa rin ng PC? hehehe!
my amo just gave me my first project to lead. kabado ako sobra, kasi wala pa naman akong tech lead experience dito sa US eh. naging backup tech lead ako sa pinas, pero naglalaro lang naman kami non eh. ehhehe! and sobrang competent ng mga leads namin, kaya alalay lang talaga kami.
this time, i set the rules, i call the shots. the main problem is, i have to understand what needs to be done. i thought it wasn't time sensitive, but as soon as binigay sa akin yung trabaho, i realized right away na demanded by the business na yon sa end of June. that doesn't mean yun ang deadline ko... that means dapat by that time, nasa field na yon. working back the sched, that means 1 month earlier for pilot testing, 1 month earlier for QA testing, 1 month earlier for code reviews and bug fixes. which means, my real deadline is.... end of March!!! takte! panic mode! end of Feb na kaya! ni wala pa kong design document. hehehe!
anyways, yun lang sa trabaho. i mean, yun lang ang major. the rest of the details, boring na. i'm touching areas of the system na never kong inisip na gagawin ko. although it's nice to be a jack-of-all-trades, minsan gusto ko rin yung may specialty ako. a specialty at work makes one indispensible eh. di ba? oh well, at least may trabaho. just a few minutes ago, i was able to programmatically "silence" a beeping printer. i'm learning new tricks na rin, parang doggie din. hehehe!
some bad news at work din pala... wala kaming raise this year and probably up to the next. =( yung employer-match ng 401K (retirement savings) namin, inalis na indefinitely. and the company costs, kailangan approved muna bago gastusin. mahigpit na sa reimbursements. grabe, ripple effect na talaga ng recession ngayon. tsk tsk tsk.
on the lighter side of things... hubby je and i are flying to NY this april! manonood kami ng concert ni sarah sa NJ, and bibisitahin na rin namin relatives and friends doon. hehe! makikita na namin si abby-buntis! =D

ok, back to blogging. i went back to reading na rin. i just finished Twilight and New Moon of the Twilight saga. maganda naman pala sya. a long read for something na simple, pero i enjoyed reading it nevertheless. grabe, ang purol pala talaga ng grammar ko. hahaha! =P
ayun lang... hopefully one of these days i can blog hop na rin. i really miss reading updates from friends. isa pang namimiss ko yung forums. dati i can't last 2 days without logging in, pero ngayon umabot pa ata sa 3 days. hehe!
o siya. ako'y babalik na sa gawain ko. hopefully matapos ko ito lahat in 30 minutes, gutom na ko!
