i happen to have another concert leg to tell about, kaya sit back and read on. hehe!
after my San Jose adventure, balik ako ng Florida para magtrabaho ulet at bumalik sa normal na buhay ko. after taking monday off dahil lasing na lasing ako sa antok (i flew from San Jose to Tampa on a sunday night), i worked for the next 3 days, then took friday off. flylaloo kami ni hubby je papuntang LA... to meet friends and watch the concert leg there. *i can see eyes rolling now!*
Day 1 - with Janelle, Graceselle and Leo
we landed sa LA around 4:30pm, janelle, graceselle and leo (graceselle's hubby) picked us up from the airport. sa sobrang excitement namin sa muling pagkikita, daldalan to the max! kaya naman nagkanda-ligaw-ligaw kami sa interstates! jusme naman kasi sa CA, puro na lang highway. si graceselle ang dakilang navigator, na hindi alam ang difference ng left at right, at si janelle naman ang dakilang driver na daldal nang daldal and not paying attention sa street signs. in short, relying on graceselle the navigator na nalilito sa left or right. *lol*
it was a riot just being with friends. gutom na gutom na kami, so we went to the nearest Gerry's Grill resto. andaming tao! nagpalista kami, tapos gumala kami to look for a place na pwedeng pag-snack-an. habang hinihintay namin ang pagkain sa isang chinese resto, nag-alarm yung token namin, meron na kaming table! aba, talagang iniwan namin yung food at tumakbo kami sa Gerry's. actually, di naman namin tinakasan, we left the guys at the chinese resto to wait for it, habang binabalot na lang nila to-go. kaming mga girls, sumugod na sa Gerry's to claim our table. habang naghihintay sa mga guys, chikahan muna kami nila janelle at graceselle. hehe! shempre, chismisan muna, kamustahan. it was really great catching up on each other's lives. =)
heto na, nakaupo na kami sa Gerry's, halos orderin namin lahat! sisig, crispy pata, inihaw na pusit, kaldereta... meron pa atang isang ulam, di ko na maalala. hehe! as in lamon kaming 5! nung hindi na kami makahinga, tumigil na kami sa kakakain at pinabalot na lang namin yung mga natira. then drive na kami papunta sa hotel where we'll check in.
the Marriott hotel sa Anaheim is a very sossy one. and very mahal! my friend-slash-tita from sarah's forums reserved the rooms for us, pero it's rated at $199/night! wala naman kaming problem sa price, kasi si tita ang magbabayad (nakakahiya nga lang!). but the worst part is, hindi nila kami ma-guarantee na maibobook malapit sa area nila sarah. if we will check-in the same day as the entourage (which is the next day), there is a better chance na we could be included in their "block", meaning same area, same floor, etc. so we cancelled the reservation for the night and looked somewhere else. we ended up taking the Marriott suites about a couple of blocks away. dun kami nag-hang out nila janelle until magpa-alam sila kasi late na. we thought they were staying overnight, dahil balak pa nga namin mag-inuman eh. kaya lang graceselle and hubby just found out na maaga sila kailangan the next day sa party ng pamangkin nila. they don't drive around the city yet, so janelle has to drop them off back at LA. naging problem ang transpo for them, so they had to leave that night. sayang.
Day 2 - Concert day
tita feli (my friend-slash-tita from the forums, see pics on San Jose post) picked us up from the Marriott suites at punta kami ng LA airport para sumundo kina sarah. they are flying in from Houston, Texas dahil may concert don the night prior.
pagdating nila sarah, naghello kami sa kanya, at ayaw lumapit nung bata, tumayo lang sa sulok and in her words (with matching kaway), "wala po munang kiss ate ha, wala pa pong ligo eh!". *lol* we helped with their luggages, and got some chance to chat with her and her mom. sandaling-sandali lang. when i was talking with her, nakakapit sya sa forearm ko. ako rin nakakapit sa forearm nya. *lol* didiretso sila sa bahay nung producer, kami naman, we went on our way to get some brunch. after kumain sa In-and-Out Burger (this is my second time!), pumunta na kami sa Marriott Hotel sa Anaheim.
we checked-in, tapos binibigay sa aming room is on the 8th floor. then hubby je got his game on, asked if that's the same floor as the entou. sabi hindi daw. shempre hubby je got on his spiel na kaya namin ni-cancel yung reservation the night prior is para ma-book kami sa same block as the entou. so pindot-pindot ulet ng keyboard ang manong, binigyan kami ng room sa 5th floor. pagdating namin sa room namin, after a few more hours, we heard someone vocalizing from a couple of rooms away. homaghad, sarah's just a couple of rooms away!
we decided to act coolly and not like crazy, stalker-style fans. so di na kami nanggulo until pumunta na kami sa venue for the concert. we met several other members of the forums there, at para kaming may mini-EB. hehe!
teka, magpopost pa ba ko about the concert? wag na kaya? hehe!
sarah cried after she belted out the last note, of her last song, on their last leg of the tour. tears of joy and relief and thanksgiving siguro. di pa namin narealize agad na umiiyak sya. she just bent forward, held her face in her hands. maya-maya, nanginginig na shoulders nya. at this point, almost everyone were on their feet, a standing ovation! pagtayo ni sarah, parang nagulat sya na nakatayo na ang mga tao. she gave a quick thanks, a quick wave of goodbye, then ran in her gown and heels papuntang backstage to change para sa farewell number nila.
sa farewell number nilang 4 (sarah, mark bautista, rachelle ann go and ian bautista), sarah took off her heels at humataw sa sayaw! ang likot nya on stage, giling nang giling, talon nang talon. *lol* one of the staff took her shoes kasi baka siguro mawala or matapakan. kaya nung babalikan na ni sarah sa pinaghubaran nya, di nya makita. =P
it was a great show. i'm glad we were there to witness it. =)
may autograph signing afterwards. this time, pumila na kami. actually, pumila ako nung paubos na yung tao, so last ako sa pila. paglapit ko sa table nila, "ate beeeeeng!"... "congratulations!" naman ako.... "ate beeeeng!"... ang tinis! dunno if she was reading my tshirt that read "I *heart* Sarah G". *lol* tapos hindi ako makalean forward kasi ang laki ng table, so i just held out my hand and congratulated her. after that, pinalabas na kami ng mga masusungit na guards.
umuwi na lang kami sa hotel, while they went sa bahay ng producer for an after-party.
Day 3 - Part 1
part pa to ng Day 2 encounters, but it was past midnight, so technically it's already Day 3.
we were watching tv, tapos biglang may narinig kaming kumakanta sa labas. takbo ako sa pinto, unlocked it, tapos pagturn ko ng doorknob, narinig ko si tita D sabi "wag kang maingay!". sumilip ako at nakita ko si sarah. sigaw ako, "sarah!!!". lingon naman sya, and flashed that sweet and surprised smile. =P nawala sa loob ko, nakapantulog na ko. hahaha! naka-jogging pants at sando, at nakatapak! buti na lang naka-bra ako! *lol* tinawag ko si tita feli, labas din sya ng room, nakapajama rin. sabay takbo kami palapit kina sarah. i hugged her and congratulated her, sabi ko ang galing-galing nya. nag-thank you naman sya while hugging back. =)
btw, bago pa ko makalapit kay sarah, nangingiwi na sya, naiihi na pala. sabi ni sarah, after namin sya i-congratulate, "mommy, nasi-cr na po talaga ako!". sabi ko, "gusto mo maki-cr ka muna sa room namin? dyan lang o!" sabay turo sa room namin. nahiya ang bata... pero parang pinagiisipan na nya.....ang tagal nya sumagot eh. si tita D kasi andaming hotel room keys, di nya makita yung tama. yung ibang tries pa ni tita D, baligtad ang pag-swipe ng cards. *lol* finally sabi ni sarah, "nakakahiya naman po ate!", tapos tinulungan na nya si tita D maghanap ng room keys. sumasayaw-sayaw na sya at napipiki na ang tuhod. ang kulit nilang mag-ina! finally nakuha na ni sarah yung keycard, ni-swipe nya once, ayaw. inulit nya, it worked. pasok agad sya! hehe! chika pa kami ni tita D, si sarah nag-rest room na. di na namin sya hinintay lumabas ulet, baka magpapahinga na rin eh.
it was nice to see tita D smiling habang hug ko si sarah. hubby je told us na naka-smile din daw si sarah habang hug kami. ang sarap nyang ka-hug, hindi kasi sya pa-showbiz yumakap eh, totoong hug. tipong may squeeze pa. hehe! it was such a private moment, kami lang nandun, walang ibang fans, walang ibang tao. gusto ko man ipost sa forums yon, di ko na ginawa. share ko na lang dito sa blog ko. kung matunton man nila to. kebs. =P
Day 3 - Part 2
the next morning, after having breakfast, nagcheck-out na kami at tumambay na lang sa hotel lobby. we got stuff na papapirmahan eh, kaya hihintayin namin sila sarah mag-checkout din. janelle's pamangkin (janine) requested to have anything autograph by sarah. buti na lang may mga posters na bigay sa akin last year na dala-dala ko. =)
si tita feli at hubby je ang may moments with sarah between the time na nagcheck-out kami hanggang magcheckout sila eh. hubby je helped bring down their luggages. tita feli even helped them pack their stuff ata. i was left at the lobby to watch over the posters and hubby je's laptop. =P
around 2pm, bumaba na sila sarah. upon seeing na may mga tao bukod sa entourage. she stopped on her tracks at umupo sa isang sofa sa hallway... at nag-powder, blush-on, lip gloss. nagpakikay pa! probably if she didn't see other people there, she would be going na wala kahit powder man lang.
paglapit nya sa amin, andami nang nagpapa-autograph. tita evelyn (one of the viva folks) took my posters from me and laid it before sarah. nahihiya kasi akong sumiksik eh, pero si tita evelyn, medyo chika naman namin. while she's signing some posters, merong group of Canadian ladies na gusto rin magpa-autograph at magpa-pic with her, upon learning na sikat na artista si sarah sa pinas. meron daw silang pinoy friends, ibibigay daw nila yung signed posters sa kanila. hehe!

minamadali na sila sarah kasi pupunta ulet sa bahay ng producer. at that point, di pa napipirmahan lahat ng posters sa stack ko, pero meron nang napirmahan for me. ang haba nga ng message ni sarah don eh. sabi ni tita evelyn, ituloy na lang sa bahay ng producer. hmmm, that means invited kami! so nag-pack up na ang mga tao. bumebeso na si sarah ng goodbye sa akin, then biglang binawi nya at tinanong ako kung sasama ba kami sa bahay ni tito Al (the producer). when i said yes, sabi ni tita D, dun na lang kami magkita.

at the producer's house, kami lang ang hindi artista, or family ng producer, or production staff. kami lang ang fans don! but sarah doesn't seem to mind. picture-picture kami sa sala, tapos tinuloy na nya yung pagpirma sa posters.
at one point, tinutukso kami ng mga staff as Mr.&Mrs.Beng. kilala kasi nila akong Beng, tapos si hubby je, Mr.Beng lang ang tawag nila in reference to me. hehehe! nung kausap ko si sarah, may humirit na "o, si Mrs.Beng". pasaway na sarah naman, "Mrs. Beng" ang pinirma sa poster ko! tapos humarap pa saken with a sly smile, "ate, ano pong lastname nyo?"... binigay ko naman! "ignacio, beng ignacio". *lol* so ayun, meron akong second poster addressed as Mrs.Beng Ignacio.
after that, we just hang out sa bahay ng producer. they watched Message in a Bottle. pag may kissing scene, sarah looks away, or at least pretends to be busy. at nung may bed scene na, pinaforward na nya kay mark yung movie. *lol* humirit yung mom nya jokingly ng "hubarin na yan!", si sarah naman tawa nang tawa. ang dumi daw ng iniisip ng mommy nya. hehe! at 19 yrs old, sarah is still so sheltered.
it's a joy seeing her again in a non-showbiz environment. hindi mo iisipin talaga na superstar sya sa pinas. while watching the movie, nakasalampak lang sya sa lapag at nakamedyas. isipin mo yon, hinubad nya pa yung sapatos nya kasi carpeted yung entertainment area. tapos pizza lang kinakain nila, solb na solb na.
eventually, we had to leave dahil medyo malayo pa ang LA airport sa Anaheim, at kakain pa muna sana kami ng dinner. nagpaalam na kami. sarah-hug ulet. hehehe! nakarami ako dun ah. i told sarah i hope to see her again. then sinabi ko na uuwi kami ng december so i'd probably see her sa ASAP. i was sort of lost in all the goodbyes going on. but i remember her waving goodbye before i "disappeared" palabas ng pinto.
