sarahdventures in san jose, CA

i flew to San Jose, CA last Good Friday. not for visiting churches, but for watching sarah's concert there hehehe. flew in friday, but yung concert is saturday pa. then i flew back to FL on sunday. i have a couple of friends flying in too, so it was like a meeting point for all of us. one of them is from North Carolina, the other is from South California. so fast forward ko na dun sa sarah adventure ko. hehehe!

we're checked in sa same hotel as sarah's, on the same floor as theirs, and we've already heard her vocalizing earlier that day since we're just a few rooms away. that afternoon, sarah and the concert entou were scheduled to attend a private dinner. since hindi kami part ng production staff, we could only hope to steal a few moments with her before they leave. so we just waited at the hotel lobby....

heto na,bumaba na si sarah and was walking towards us. we greeted her right away... "sarah!!!", and she welcomed us din... "ate!". when i leaned forward to make beso, it felt like i stepped on her toes. nagsorry ako sabi ko "naku, natapakan ata kita! sorry!", pero di naman daw. then introduce ko yung mga kasama ko, and very soft ang boses ni sarah when she greeted "hi po" to them. then tinanong kami ni tita Divine (sarah's mom) kung taga San Diego raw kami…then sabi ni Sarah, referring to me... "mommy kasama natin siya sa Disneyland!!!!"

she remembers me!

then she suddenly blurted out... "ate, nameet ko po mom nyo, tsaka si..... ano nga bang name nya?", refering to my cousin na classmate nya nung elem. hahaha! =P then i told her "as si lei! sa Dominican Event? grabe dinumog ka ng mga madre dun ah!" tapos parang medyo shy pa sya. pangiti-ngiti lang, tapos may sinabi sya i can't remember. grabe, si mama pa ang naalala, si lei pa nakalimutan! hahaha!

it just feels good that she remembers me from our Disney adventures... super bonus talaga na naalala nya si mama as my mom nung nagkita sila sa Dominican. i mean, it's one thing if she remembers me, but remembering my mom too? and she just mentioned it out of nowhere! awwww....

made me think... ano kayang ginawa ni mama sa kanya at natandaan talaga ni sarah? hahaha!

anyways, the concert was great! sold out talaga, at ang galing galing ng renditions ni sarah sa theme song ng Lobo. ang galing din ng mga greatest hits medley nya, talagang she's in her element pag yung To Love You More at Forever's Not Enough yung kinakanta nya. hehehe! search nyo na lang sa YouTube ha? hehehe!

compared to her past US tour, parang bitin ang appearance ni sarah. and wala din syang dance numbers. pero jusme, bawat labas nya ng stage, her performances are worth a standing ovation! medyo kuripot nga lang ang mga taga-SJ sa standing ovation. but they all cheered wildly anyways. =P

may autograph signing pa after the concert, pero dumiretso na kami sa hotel at sa lobby na lang tumambay. pagbalik nila sarah from the venue, sinalubong namin sya with our hugs and congratulations. sarap i-hug ni sarah! hehehe! then suddenly she asked me, "ate beng, saan po ang restroom?", tapos silip-silip sya sa gilid ng hallway. tinuro ng isa kong kasama, tapos ayon, magrerestroom daw muna sya. susundan na sana namin, tinablan lang kami ng hiya. hahaha! =P we just stayed at the lobby watching them and making kulitan with the other prod staff. then before umakyat si sarah, nakapagpa-pic pa yung kasama naming isa.

too bad, the next day, di namin alam na maaga pala silang lilipad pa-LA. so naiwan kami. di kami nakapaghatid, di kami nakapag-goodbye. =(

oh well. dapat kasi hindi kami nagrely sa info eh, dapat nagpaka-resourceful din kami. but as it is, i couldn't ask for anything more na. napanood ko na sya sa concert, she remembers me, and she remembers my mudra! ayus! *thumbs up*
