second half mini-gimiks

Here's a part of the second half of my vacation.... the fun half.

Lamon sa Chinatown
after the interment that morning to noon, the family decided to just go out for dinner. serves as a going-away dinner na rin for my tita hannah, since she's going back to tokyo the next day.

so ayun, sugod kami sa favorite resto ng angkan namin... Chinatown sa Banawe. hehehe! we instantly remembered tatay, kasi mahilig din syang kumain dun. solb na solb si tatay pag chinatown kasi maraming ulam at buffet style pa. hayyyy.

but anyways, we had a good time sa dinner. it's so nice to have everyone in one place, doing one thing that i know my family loves doing... eating! picture-picture din kami, tapos nung uwian, problema ang sasakyan! pano na kami magkakasya ngayong busog na lahat? mwehehehe!

Kape with Liz
had coffee with liz sa max-something dun sa greenbelt 3 area. we also ordered their choco mousse.. grabe, heavenly! i almost forgot my name! hehehe! pero totoo, sarap talaga. pero besides the food and their nice ambience, i enjoyed liz's company the most. it has been a while since nagkachika kami, kaya talagang walang silent moment, rapid-fire ang kuwentuhan! i would love to spill some info here, pero di pwede eh. mwehehehe! basta all i can say is, pag kami talaga ni liz ang magkachika, laging kulang ang oras. =)

Dinner with my fwends from SPI
although may yahoogroup kami ng mga SPI friends ko, i didn't get the chance to tell peeps na nasa pinas na ko. i think i was able to send out a note, pero hindi ko na na-follow up. i ended up getting in touch only with the SPI people closest to me, through YM and some through texts. =)

je and i had dinner with jenny, maricor and caths at chili's. mega-chikahan, mega-tawanan, at mega-hintayan! jenny ended up almost taking the day (or the night, dahil sa shift nya) off, dahil it's so hard to say goodbye when you are having so much fun! not sure kung pumasok pa sya, pero super late na nung maghiwa-hiwalay kami.

ok, before that, as i was saying, we had dinner sa chili's. good food. great people. grand time. sobrang nag-stick sa amin ang style ni maricor to look slim.. the 4-tooth rule. according to her, pag ngingiti ka sa pics, kailangan yung 4 na ngipin mo lang ang kita sa ngiti mo. go figure. *lol* we had a blast making fun of ourselves... try that 4-tooth rule pag may bungi ka... or pag kailangang up-and-down ng ngipin mo, ang total ay 4 na agad. mwehehehe! needless to say, salamat sa officemate nila maricor na "walang warts", we had somebody to talk and laugh about. mwehehehe! it's always a blast going out with my gurls from SPI. i can't remember a dull gimik with them.

kung di lang magsasara ang chili's, di kami aalis dun eh. lumipat kami sa starbucks, this time with joy. kakaloka pa rin shempre, pero medyo mas mellowed down na kami kasi dinig na dinig ng mga tao ang usapan namin dahil wala nang background music or noise, unlike sa chili's. hehehe!

we wrapped the night up with pictures... at nakakatawa ang multiple-shot-timer, nahuli ang mga candid moments namin. madaya si joy, laging naka-pose! *lol* i look forward to the next gimik, wherever that may be. ;-)

With Kate, Maloiks and Ma'am Cachy
first of all, hail to maloiks and kate for being girl scouts, laging handa! with just a day's notification, malou was able to make it inspite of her hectic work (read: bago pumunta sa rockwell, may trabaho pang humabol!). and with just a few hours' notification, kate made it, straight from up-north Luzon! hehehe! bilib ako with my gurls, at shempre touched ako sobra!!! =)

we ate at Kulinarya sa Rockwell Center. food was fine, presentation was cool, and the company was the best part of it. ninang chona (cachero) provided the serious and sensible side of the conversations, while kate and maloiks, the lighter part. hehehe! i know i should've just scheduled a different gimik with kate and malou, pero our scheds won't permit it na rin eh. kate is in manila for the weekend, but may mga work stuff sya to attend to. maloi is just around the area, pero sa dami ng trabaho, daig pa ang nasa ibang bansa sa sched! =P kami naman ni je, crunch time na rin sa dami ng kailangan pang ayusin before we head back sa US. di bale next time.

one notable conversation we had was the "P" and "F" problem of kate's boss.... "cream fupp"? whadaf!? hanggang ngayon, private joke pa rin namin ni je yon pag naguusap about food. hehehe! and of course, who will forget the hirit... "guys we need new ideas, we need to brainwash!". my gulay, i swear i haven't laughed as hard that day in a long time! *lol* it's always a blast going out with these two brouhas!

La Vista Visit
we went to la vista to visit je's relatives there. enjoy naman, kain ng kare-kare, ginataang hipon, vegetable soup at kung anu-ano pa. it's more of je's story so i'll just put it here so i'd remember we went there. hehehe! actually, i stayed there while waiting for tenten, ple and borj to get to eastwood. so nung nalaman kong malapit na sila tenten sa eastwood, iniwan ko na si je there to spend time with his cousins. hehehe!

Short meeting with Ten, Ple and Borjy
habang iniwan ko si je sa mga insan nya sa la vista, i went out to meet with my gurls sa eastwood. i meet with ple, tenten and borj... kain kami sa fazoli's. i just loooove their bread sticks! i can't seem to get enough of it talaga! so ayun, kainan, chismisan, tawanan... just like HS days. only this time, we don't giggle like little girls, we laugh our hearts out like true-blue mid-20-going-on-late-20-something working gurls. hehehe!

that's dinner, of course, being with ple and tenten, we would want some dessert, hehehe! so off we went to jack's loft. order kami ng mga chocolate cake, deep fried ice cream, at si borj lang ang umorder ng something na matino, her dinner. kuwentuhan galore pa rin, at talaga namang kung pwede lang di na matapos ang chismisan namin, saya sana non. but borj needs to get to work, and ple needs to get home to bulacan before it gets dark. so onting picture-picture lang, then it's goodbye again. *sigh* i miss these gimiks. sana makalabas pa rin kami ng madalas pag kaya. this is my therapy, i need no shrink to keep me sane, i just need friends to make chismis with. =)

Back at Uste
we went to ust to visit ma'am uy, or should i say, "ninang chin"? hehehe! nung nasa main building na kami, sabi ko sa manong guard, papasok lang ako para bumisita. he asked for my id, and is going to call mam uy sa registrar's office. i wanted it to be a surprise visit, kaya sinenyasan ko si manong guard na wag sabihin kung sino ako. he almost slipped, kasi naman, nakatingin sa id ko while talking with mam uy.. but thank goodness di nya nasabi name ko. hehehe! so ayun, pagpasok ng office nya, nagulat sya at nandun ako! hehehe! daming naming napagkuwentuhan! chismisan kami for almost an hour and a half ata? yung ibang balita ko sa kanya, alam na nya, siguro may nakakakuwentuhan syang nagbabasa ng blog ko. hehehe! anyways, it was really nice seeing her and talking with her again. we wanted to take her out to lunch kaya lang kakatapos lang pala nyang kumain non. ang aga naman kasing kumain eh, we got there sa uste around 12 noon. tapos na sya maglunch non! di bale, next time maybe.

ps on uste... wala nang nagtitinda ng kwek-kwek sa ust area! whahappened?

Bumping into a Buntis
before meeting with rommel and tenten sa shangrila, dumaan muna kami ni hubby je sa Podium to meet erlyn. kabuntisan nya na talaga! humawak nga agad ako sa tummy nya for good luck eh. hehehe! we chat for a short while sa starbucks, about sa pagbubuntis nya, paglilihi, at kung anu-ano pang usapang buntis. hehehe! di pa ko makarelate, but at least i have an idea on what to expect when i'm expecting na. hehe! walang nagbago kay erlyn, bukod sa mukha syang sobrang busog. ahehe! i would bet on a girl though, kahit medyo convinced na si coocoo na lalaki ang baby nila. sabi kasi nila, pag lalaki ang anak, pumapangit ang nanay. eh di naman pumangit si erlyn eh, if anything i think she looks fresh pa nga eh. onting chika pa, then we headed off to meet tenten and rommel na. lumakad na pabalik ng work si erlyn, kami naman ni je, humanap ng taxi. sabi ko na nga ba, suwerte ang buntis eh. nung palabas kami ng podium kasama si erlyn, 3 taxis ang naghihintay sa tapat namin. di naman kami agad sumakay kasi we're still saying our goodbyes. nung umalis na sya, wala kaming makuhang taxi! siguro mga 20 minutes kaming naghihintay don!

sayang talaga di kami nakagimik ni erlyn! she promised to take me to a barbie "and/or" jinky performance, kasi marami syang kilala na pwede akong ipakilala personally dun sa 2!!! imagine that! no more running after their jamming sessions, i can actually get pics and autographs with them via VIP introduction. hehehe!

anyways, erlyn, i know you'd get the chance to read this... i accept rainchecks on the jamming gimik! you're not off the hook yet. =P

Double-dating
shempre mawawala ba to? hehehe! although late na kami nagkita kasi super late kami ni je, we had a blast with mareng tenten and pareng rommel. we met sa shangrila and ate at Krocodile Grill, dun sa tables sa labas nila. after about 30 mins to an hour, may band na dun sa stage, so free entertainment na rin kami. hehehe! we found out how old we were kasi nung nagpatugtog ng 80's music, alam naming lahat! pati lyrics and sometimes even the dance steps! *lol* while some "kids" around just tap their feet to the beat, kami naman, kumakanta pa. ahehe! we felt so old, yet we were the "in" crowd then. =P medyo mahirap magkuwentuhan kasi ang ingay, pero that didn't stop us from making chika. kami pa! hehehe! rommel had this "by the yard" beer, at talaga namang naging object of discussion yon ng dalawang hunks na kasama namin ni tenten. may pa-volume-volume pang nalalaman eh. hehehe! kakaiba naman kasi yung baso eh, di pwedeng may straw, mahirap din namang inuman lang. in the end, humingi na lang si rommel ng normal na glass, at sinalin ang laman nung tall glass nya. *lol* we capped off the night with a picture taking... sinundo kami nila papa, kaya si papa ang cameraman. si mudra, maarte ever. ayaw bumaba ng kotse kasi naka-shorts lang daw sya. kaya ayun, halos magkanda-bali ang leeg sa pagtanaw sa amin, ayaw nga kasing bumaba. =P

super sandali lang kami nagkachika, kasi late na rin. pero it's always a great time hanging out with this couple. =)

hayyy, sayang talaga at super messed up ang sched namin. andaming sumingit na lakad sa mga kamag-anak kaya na-push talaga lahat ng sched namin. andami ko ngang friends na hindi ko na nakita or na-meet eh! =( sensya na talaga sa inyo guys! yung iba natawagan pa namin the day before we left, yung iba, di na talaga namin na-contact. pasensya na rin po at di ko kayo nasabihan about sa pag-pass away ng lolo ko, i would've kept in touch with you guys if i had enough time in my hands. sobrang naging busy lang talaga, given the circumstances. next uwi namin, we'll plan better. and hopefully, "normal" sched lang kami next time.

pasensya na talaga sa mga hindi namin na-meet man lang... audz, lhaila, jean (and our inaanaks!), mhel, edrie and family, jhong and family, gian, xtian, tedants, aine, lei (and leah), vero, aileen and family, rico-mambo, jimmy, nins, josh, zette, rina, ate maj, and the rest of the spi peeps (there's just too many of you guys! hehehe!).
