cebu trip ala alegre resort review

i'm not supposed to post anything about the cebu trip, but i just can't help myself. minimal post na lang hon. hehehe!

muntik na kaming maiwan ng plane going to cebu! i was thinking it's like the flight we took to palawan a couple of years ago. so i only alloted around 30-45 minutes before our flight to get there. when we get to the domestic airport for cebu pacific, grabe, andaming tao! sabay-sabay pala lahat ng passengers from all flights pag dadaan sa security, check-in, terminal fee, etc.! after passing the security checks, we found out na sarado na yung check-in counter for our flight. so we asked this security guy where we could check-in our luggage. he helped us out, we skipped lines, and we ran on the tarmac heading to our plane. we were the last ones to get on the line going on board. and kaya naman we were on the last row of the plane na rin. =P

pagdating sa cebu, ang linis! at ang ganda ng airport nila. it was an hour and a half drive from the airport to the resort. pahinga na rin kung tutuusin.

pagdating namin sa resort, ang ganda! nilibot muna namin before we were able to check in. here's my review on the place:

PROS:
- loved the cottage and the bathroom! as in! walk-in, super huge bathroom. almost half of the cottage, bathroom na. gusto ko rin yung design ng cottage nila, high ceiling, tapos may veranda. the veranda is a nice addition, lalo na pag magsasampay ng damit. hehehe! and room service rings up the doorbell from the steps to the veranda, not from the door to the room. kaya talagang super ang privacy. marami din puno at kahalamanan kaya hindi kayo kita from the outside.
- loved the pool! dun nga lang kami nagswimming eh, kasi may jellyfish dun sa mismong beach. kakatakot! pero ayos yung pool, big enough for lots of guests, kaya may privacy ka pa rin. i liked this pool better than the one at Lagen. hehehe!
- loved the beachfront! andun lang kami madalas ni je, nakahiga sa beach chairs, sipping margarita and other mixed drinks, which they deliver to you! oh yes, nag-inuman kami ni mister by the beach. di naman nalasing, just enough to buzz us up para sa pag-swim sa pool, mas refreshing yung feeling.
- loved the view! you'll see what i mean pag nakita nyo yung pic ng paa ko while we were lounging by the beach. hehehe! nakakarelax talaga, ilang beses akong nakatulog sa beach. =P ang sarap din sa duyan nila. hehehe!
- loved the fish feeding activity dun sa beach! binigyan kami ng tinapay nung isang attendant, tapos punta kami sa beach to feed them to the fishy-fishies. anlalaki ng isda! nakakatakot nga minsan kasi baka paa ko ang kagatin! hehehe! it was really a must-do pag andun kayo. go to knee-deep water and you'll enjoy it.
- the members of the staff are accommodating. pampered ka talaga. at madali silang kausap. =) private van pa to and from the airport.
- super relaxing environment, very clean and just plain bliss.
- extra lang, masarap yung welcome cebu delicacies nila. inuwi nga namin ni je eh. hehehe!
- mura lang! for the experience, mura talaga sya! hehehe!

CONS:
- the stairs. nakakahingal pag pupunta sa cottage or sa kainan, pag galing sa beach. also, you need to use the stairs papunta sa aquasports area (where the equipments are, like for snorkeling, kayaking, jetski, etc.) kasi nakahiwalay yung area na yon on a separate cove. pwedeng lakarin yung gilid pag low tide, we did that once.
- the non-buffet meals. i guess mas gusto lang namin ni je yung wala nang iniisip talaga, kahit pag-order ng food. that's the reason why we loved the breakfast the best, kasi buffet yung breakfast. the lunch and dinner, not so much, kasi oorder ka pa. eh mas ok sana yung small portions, pero maraming klase ng food. =) the attendant told us na pag maraming tao, they sometimes serve buffet meals. siguro kasi onti lang nasa resort that time.
- sinusuundan ako ng bubuyog! dunno if it was just me or what, pero nakapatay ako ng at least 3 bees na aali-aligid sa akin throughout my stay. =P

btw, we went to the free sunset cruise and dolphin watching, nakakatuwa! daming dolphins! and they are so playful talaga! =) may kasama kaming japanese kid, tuwang-tuwa talaga! hehehe!

we also went to the island hop thingy, papuntang Capitancillo Island. this one may bayad. not so impressed with the island though, kasi parang ruins ang style nya at walang CR! pero masarap yung food namin dun nung nagpicnic na. i just wished hindi maalon yung tubig. ang hirap mag-snorkel eh, napagod kami ni je kakapadyak kasi tinatangay kami! hehehe!

i would recommend the place for people who want to go on a trip to cebu. you may skip the capitancillo island hop and just do snorkeling dun sa beach ng alegre mismo. di lang namin nagawa kasi nga may jellyfish, kasi season daw non. but the big fishes are on that beach resort daw, not on the island. =) dun sa capitancillo, more on coral reefs and small fishes ang nakita namin.

next stop sa pinas... camiguin or davao? hehehe!
