withdrawal syndrome

i'm having a bad case of it. i flip the tv on, and searched for something to watch... no more AI, no more Survivor, no more Amazing Race. no football games yet. sigh. does this mean i should get a life besides watching tv on a weekday evening?

hubby je is not yet home, still working on something in the office. i've watched the latest episode of Bituing Walang Ningning on abs-cnNow, and also half of TVpatrol. it's kind of depressing watching Pinas news, bad news basically outnumbers the good ones. i would probably watch the other half when i'm dead-bored.

oh, oh! i remember something! we are avid fans of Jeopardy, and in almost months of our religious watching, it was only a few nights ago that we saw a Pinoy contestant. her name is Tricia Barreiro, from Sta. Monica, CA. she was a contestant on the 5/23 show, but we were having doubts if she's a Pinay or not. she speaks fluent english, and knows quite a lot of stuff about american culture. she became the champion that day.

on her second day, there was no doubt that she's a Pinay when Alex (the host) interviewed them one by one, and her anecdote for self is that she taught an Ex-President of the Philippines' daughter "cheat" on payphones. hehehe! she wouldn't name names, but there weren't that many presidents to choose from, right? she's probably in her late 20's or early 30's, depending on whether she's got some stretching jobs done on her face. hehehe! so we guessed it's probably Kris Aquino or Jo Ramos. hehehe! =P

anyways, she was a 2-day champ on the show. on her 3rd day, some geek swept the questions and ran away with the moolah. oh well, i'm proud of her! not many pinoys get through to that show. they've got lotsa difficult questions on their try-out quizzes.

we know, coz we took it. online. =P

  • i feel the same thing whenever the shows we're watching ends season. madalas pa naman sabay-sabay mga season ender so our daily viewing scheds suddenly becomes empty until the next new show comes up. it's a good thing the shows are quickly replaced by other shows we've also been following on StarWorld, Studio23 and AXN here.

bakit nga ba sabay-sabay sila lagi, kainis. =P there's a potential reality show to add on our list, "so you think you can dance". haven't watched an episode yet.

Alfredo became Je, kasi "Jr." sya eh. "je" is the short-cut of "jay-r". parang "je-ar", hehehe!

    hmmm, mai-blog nga ito. =D
