AI Finale Spoiler

i was a bit disappointed with this season's finale. i was expecting something explosive, and new, and powerful. fsssssht... fell short of my expectations. =P

first round, Kat sang the "Black Horse and the Cherry Tree", Taylor sang "Living for the City". and although, in my opinion, Kat's song was better, Taylor won on the basis of performance. hehehe!

second round, Kat did "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" and Taylor did "Levon". I would've preferred "In the Ghetto" for Taylor on that round. He sings that one more soulfully. Kat did a great job on that song again. i hope she'll have that in her album, if she'll have one soon. i have the mp3 of the first version and have listened to it more than a dozen times in the past week! hehehe! still, all good! but anyways, Kat won this time, hands down. ;-) woo-hoo!

third round, they both sang new songs. Taylor's song was better, and the judges were very vocal about it. and i think Kat missed (or oversang?) a note somewhere in the song, that made it sound "not right". maybe she should've listened to paula to keep her range at that certain level that sounds natural for her. oh well. =P Simon, who's known for being the honest and probably the only one who really makes sense out of the 3, said Taylor just won the American Idol! soul patrol! hehehe! he kept chanting that, maybe to loosen up his nerves a bit. hehehe!

they both did a wonderful job. but i wasn't expecting 2 out of 3 songs will be from the past episodes of the show. it would've been more fun to hear them sing something they haven't sang before. i ended up comparing their performance tonight, and that of the past ones. fairly no difference at all, but this is the finale!

and, for the record, the lyrics of the 2 new songs they sang respectively, are just waaaay too cheesy for me. =P

i'm still rooting for Kat though. hehehe! ;-) I got the McPheever, and I ain't need no medicine.
