Familia DiMaguiba
it was the happiest 2 1/2 weeks of my life here in the US. =)
warning: mahabang post =P
we've been to places, and i can't remember when we went where, where we ate when, and what we did when, but i remember how happy we were during those times. =) so just to update my friends about what happened when my family was here:
i can't wait to see them again. i'm pulling March 2007. pressure to my bro to graduate on time, else, we won't be home by then, but by june. hehehe!
ps. pics to follow, most of the pics we have are on tita glenda's cam. there were other pics that i forgot to upload from my bro's cam, so i will have to wait for them to get home so i could get a copy.
hayyy, c'mon March 2007!

we've been to places, and i can't remember when we went where, where we ate when, and what we did when, but i remember how happy we were during those times. =) so just to update my friends about what happened when my family was here:
- we went to Florida Aquarium on a Friday, so i just followed after work. i didn't have to get tickets to get in, kasi it was almost closing time when i got there. =P
- then we went to the Clearwater Beach, watched some escape artists, fire eaters, and beach babes who have waistlines bigger than my mama's. we basically did people-watching, and they were "okray-ing" every "healthy" person in swimwear. hehehe!
- then we had dinner at the first-ever Hooters restaurant in the US. cabron wanted to have beer, but he's only 20 yrs old, not yet the legal drinking age here in the US. if they only knew how much alcohol he has consumed in the last 4 years, my parents would've ended in jail.
- saturday morning, we went to Universal Studios Island of Adventure, lugi nga lang kami, coz they don't like rollercoaster rides. we took the Spiderman ride though, and we all had a great time. the x-men were there too, cute ni cyclops! =P
- after Universal Studios, we went to the Orlando Prime Outlets that evening. shopping galore sa levi's. we later found out that the 2 pairs of pants that my papa got were "defective". mas mahaba yung isang paa! hahaha! too late to bring it back. and orlando is an hour and a half drive from our place,so it's a big hassle. he'll just keep the pants and we bought another one at a store just 20 minutes drive away from home. =P
- we checked-in to an inn for the night. then sunday morning, we went to the WonderWorks museum. it was every science geek's paradise! je and i accidentally discovered the place when we went out to buy water the night before. we were driving along this unfamiliar street, when we saw a building upside down! we thought we were seeing things out of fatigue. it was cool! =)
- before noon, we went to DisneyWorld. we had to line up to get our pics taken with the princesses. there was a kid in front of us, who liked us. her older sister and older brother are having tantrums though, so they got out of the line. we saw them later and they are in better moods. it must be the long, freakin' line that pissed the kids off. we stayed until the electric parade and the fireworks. sooobrang ganda nung fireworks, as in coordinated pa sa tugtog! imagine, they do that everyday?! sa fireworks pa lang, sulit na yung bayad sa tickets eh. =) magkakastiff neck ka sa tagal mong nakatingala! =P
- monday morning, we had to drive tita glenda to the airport. she's leaving for CA, staying there for a few more days with my tita charlotte then heading back to Pinas. my family on the other hand, stayed and started their magic...
- the work week went by fast. while je and i are at work, my family slept in, cooked, did laundry, cleaned the house, decorated it, and moved stuff around. hehehe! i was shocked to find our cabinets someplace else. all the expired food stuff on our pantry was on the garbage can. the backyard was plucked of weeds. the front yard and the side of the house were mowed bald. the cars were washed squeaky-clean! i felt like my family went there to be my househelp. =P
- after work, we'll usually go to stores, malls, restaurants. when we get back home, we'd watch pinoy telenovelas on abs-cbnNOW, which we hooked up to a TV. it was way much better than TFC, coz they were able to catch up on past episodes that they missed while "touring" the US. thanks nga pala ulet sa mga friends ko who suggested the abs-cbnNow thing! shoutout to cinoy, thanks mare! *group hug!* i'm keeping the subscription. i wanna know what will happen to Eden on Panday, or to Luisa on Gulong ng Palad. hehehe! =P they charged higher though. more expensive by $3, but still cheaper and more convenient than TFC!
- papa and mama drives me to work. it was our setup so they will have a car available when they want to go out and see places in our vicinity. then they will just pick me up after work to go some place else. cabron wasn't able to drive, papa was the designated driver. he passes through stop signs, and stops when he has the right of way. hehehe! after a week, he's used to it. maybe one more month of driving here in the US, and he would be a pro here. =)
- we also went to the Mosi Museum, where they had The Bodies Exhibit. it displayed preserved human remains, to show how the human anatomy looks and works. it was so cool to see them, but when you realize that you are looking at "once-alive" person's body, you would feel weak in the knees. you could even see hair strands, my goodness!
- we also went shopping at St. John's Pass. my mama was delighted that for once, she's asking for the smallest size. hahaha! we hopped from one shop to another. when we got tired, and broke, we went to The Pier to drive around. there was a jazz festival, but the road was closed, so we just listened from afar. tinamad kaming maglakad kasi pagod na, at mainit!
- my mama gave us a beautiful centerpiece made of glass vase and flowers. if you've been to our place in manila, you will know what i'm talking about. pics to follow!
i can't wait to see them again. i'm pulling March 2007. pressure to my bro to graduate on time, else, we won't be home by then, but by june. hehehe!
ps. pics to follow, most of the pics we have are on tita glenda's cam. there were other pics that i forgot to upload from my bro's cam, so i will have to wait for them to get home so i could get a copy.
hayyy, c'mon March 2007!
