don't count your chickens before it's the 14th
should i go on with this post or is it pretty obvious that i didn't get my paycheck TODAY?!
i found out that although i have been working for 2 weeks now, i will follow everybody else's scheduled pay periods. that means, april 14. since it's an observed holiday (Good Friday), the pay will be a day earlier. so, ok, 4 more work days to go. *sigh*
i even bought tiramisu last wednesday for today's celebration. well, we couldn't let the tiramisu just sit in the fridge. so we had a feast ahead of the event. hehehe! it somehow cured my disappointment. =P
where the hell did i get that idea that i will receive my pay on exactly the second week from the date of my employment?! it only applies to part time employees, when you are not sure that they will be back next week, so you pay them upfront and are not on the payroll records. *sigh again*
mind you, i'm not complaining, i was just too excited. =P well, my first paycheck will reflect 3 weeks' worth of salary. not bad for a buena mano! so it's not just a good friday next week, it's a "better friday". ;-)

Expected ko dn dati nong first pay check ko, malaki makukuha ko... tas, almost 25% pala ng sweldo ko ang tax na ibabawas sa kin every paycheck...Nakakapanghina eh... Pero syempre, ok pa rin naman kahit ganon. :)

hayyy, i know what you mean. i'll try to psyche myself na 3/4 lang ng suweldo ko ang maiuuwi ko. babawi na lang ako sa gov't pag matanda na ko. hehehe! =P
ilang percent ba average federal tax sa OH? dito di ko sure eh.
