another pinoy encounter
i met "Aling May" this afternoon. hehehe!
well, Mang Fred said she's in her 50s already, but she looks young, like in her early or mid 40s lang siguro. so i will just call her "Ate May". i think she will like that better too!
we incidentally bumped into each other. i was going to the pantry for some water, and she was talking to a friend, waiting for the elevator. as i was approaching, her lips curved into a smile, and when i was within earshot, she asked "are you Harvie? or is it Hermie?". wow, that's something new. i've never been mistaken for Hermie before. hehehe!
out of respect to her friend, hindi ako nag-tagalog. but then she said we should have lunch sometime, di ko na napigil, sabi ko "sige po, sabihan nyo lang ako, nasa directory na po yung extension ko." hehehe! she's a jolly woman, with genuine smiles and a sincere handshake (both hands pa nya ko hawak ha!). like a mother-figure ba. =)
so there, 2 down, 1 more to go. i dunno, i'm not excited to meet the "hilaw na pinoy". hehehe! and by the way, the friend that Ate May was talking to is actually married to a Pinay, so he probably understood what i said. =P
looks like my network is growing. hehehe!
