why did the chicken cross the street?
driving home from work, i was startled by a chicken crossing the street. yes you read it right, may tumatawid na manok dun sa street namin, a block away from our house! *lol* at eto pa, hindi lang sya basta tumatawid, huminto pa sya sa gitna ng lane ko! so ako naman, i hit the brakes, i don't want a roadkill on v-day! hehe! there was another car on the other lane opposite mine, and i saw the driver and his passenger smiling and pointing at the chicken, which was then somewhere under my car. inch by inch i moved forward, then on my side view mirror, i saw the chicken walking casually to the sidewalk. what a weird experience! definitely a first! hahaha! ganon na ba ka-rural yung area namin at may alaga nang manok yung mga tao?
a different kind of memorable v-day
there was a news update on tv... an old couple came home from a v-day dinner date, to find 2 burglars walking out of their house towards their get-away car. the old man confronted the burglars, and was shot dead, right in front of his wife. police were able to capture one of the suspects, but the shooter is still at large. the old couple has been married for 32 years. what a tragic v-day... just so sad.
breakfast treat
this morning, i was awaken by the sound of alarms. fire alarm to be specific, from our kitchen. i was instantly awake, and i was scared kasi wala sa tabi ko si je. as soon as i opened the bedroom door, i saw je reaching to the alarm to turn it off. he was preparing a v-day breakfast for me, when the alarm went off! hahaha! na-spoil ng alarm namin yung surprise nya. hehehe!
i had pancakes with strawberries, bacon, eggs and cheese for breakfast. yung bacon, eggs and cheese, naka-ayos pa like a face (bacon=smiling lips, eggs=eyes, cheese=nose). =D
i got a card, a dozen red roses, and a small gift... but the best part is my v-day hug from hubby je! thanks hon!!! wubyu! *hugs*

Kawawa naman yung old couple. =( Hay! Mga tao talaga!
Ang sweet naman ni Alfredo! So, I'm guessing, di na siya breakfast in bed, kasi nakatayo ka na dahil sa fire alarm. Hehe. =)
