synop, work, howl-o-sheikraaaaa!
20 days since my last post. wow. that's probably a record for me. considering that i am veeeeerry talkative. =P
anyways, my writing "skills" (or whatever it's called) have been put to test lately. i volunteered to write synopses of sarah's latest teleserye (Pangarap Na Bituin, or PNB in forum lingo, hehe!). while blogging is just a free form, thoughts-to-words writing process... a synopsis is a different ball game. i have to get all the relevant facts and scenes in a single paragraph. my struggles are in determining which scenes are relevant, in using better words, and in cutting down the number of words. i don't think the grammar police will hunt me down for incorrect grammar or spelling, so i just exert extra effort in condensing everything.
hubby je accounted my lack of blogging time to synopses writing. it's probably true. but then there's also my daytime job. it's been keeping me busy for the past month. today is officially the first day i have more than 3 hours free to do whatever. and as you can see, i have already taken advantage of it.
ah, updates... last Friday was my first time to experience horror sa theme parks here in the US. we went to Busch Garden to experience Howl-O-Scream. (http://www.howl-o-scream.com/tampa/flash.asp)
heck, i have to commend the staff for scaring the hell out of me. *lol* there were areas in the theme park that they converted into "scare zones". thick fog, scary sound effects, "creatures" walking with people along those paths. they jump out from the bushes, or they walk right into your path, or they suddenly appear and walk by your side. some of the more creepy ones just stand at a corner, and looks at you intently. =P
we went to the "Taste of Blood" haunted house, all 5 of us (me, hubby je, his bro kuya pete and his wife ate che, and em-ey, their niece) moving as one huge mass of human anatomy. grabe, it was like living your nightmare! they have narrow walk paths, so the ghoulish creatures can actually lean forward to get face-to-face with you. at one point, hubby je was calling out to me "beng, lingon ka! beng, lingon!". and i know i shouldn't. just then i heard a "tsss, tsss, tssss!" sound and felt hair on my ears. one of the creatures have been following me, and decided to make her presence felt since i won't look back! grabe, ang sigaw ko talaga! imagine, face-to-face kami nung paglingon ko sa gilid ko! ang lapit ng mukha nya saken! napa-step sidewards ako, and meron din creature dun sa inatrasan ko. my only option is to run forward, pero may ibang tao! napayakap na lang ako kay hubby je sa takot! chet!!!
nung last hallway na lang dun sa haunted house, talagang kinaladkad ko na si hubby je! adrenaline fueled me, kaya talagang nakaladkad ko sya. hehehe!
pero di pa ko nadala, pumasok pa ulet kami sa isa pang haunted house, "Trapped". a different kind of takutan naman, kasi pati sa kisame may creature! at mas madilim. paglabas namin, uhaw na uhaw ako! *lol*
it was a great experience all in all. and we capped off the evening by braving the SheiKra ride.

when we got home, uminom lang ako ng tubig, humiga sa sofa, at dun na ko nakatulog. hubby je teased me the next morning na nakanganga pa daw akong nakatulog. *lol*
