party central
we're officially a private company as of oktubre uno.
although there were discontent going around, nakuha pa rin talaga magpatawag ng meeting ng CEO namin. dun sa venue, they passed around champagne in those cute plastic stem glasses. i went there with Jon (the other pinoy guy sa office bukod kay kuya fred), and my tech lead, both guys. so expect the crazy duo to be a little less refined.
in short, ang kapal ng mukha. hehehe! nasa vicinity kami ng long table by the entrance, kung saan nakahilera ang dose-dosenang glasses ng champagne, intended for people who will be coming in sa venue. while the CEO delivers his speech, the 2 guys i'm with kept coming back to the table to get some more fizz-drink. napapansin na sila nung mga nakatayo sa area, kaya bungisngisan kami nang bungisngisan. hehehe! people within hearing range started turning their heads toward us. kahit natatawa na ko, i kept a serious look on my face and pretended to be listening.
eventually, Jon walked over to a plastic cooler in a corner, and casually took out a bottle of champagne. napagod na sya kakabalik-balik sa table, so he just got himself an opened bottle, and refilled from where he's standing. *lol* yung mga nasa paligid naman nya, nakikirefill naman! tawa kami nang tawa, kasi mauubos na nya yung isang bottle, di pa rin tapos yung speech! by the time he ran out of champagne, biglang people raised their glasses for the toast... Jon, raised his empty bottle. =P
welcome to party central!
and btw, there was a continuation of the celebration at the sports bar/grill within the office's vicinity. free food, free drinks, free use of the billiard table. life's grand when you go privy.
question is, do we get to keep our jobs? =P
