goodbye, sarah!

the end is near, hehehe! this is the last of my series of sarah-posts... sarah's departure from Florida. *sniff-sniff*

at the hotel lobby, before heading to the airport, i snatched some "alone" time with sarah. i introduced hubby je to her, saying "sarah, mister ko!". she was genuinely shocked to hear na may asawa na pala ako. nanlaki mata nya sabay sabi nya something like "mister po, ate beng? may asawa na pala kayo?" ngumiti ako then i asked her "mukha ba kong single? naks!". (flattered to the nth level shempre!) sabi nya ulet, "di nga po, akala ko single pa kayo!" tapos nakangiti syang lumingon sandali kay hubby je. parang nahihiya. hehehe! hubby je, at this moment is just smiling sheepishly, probably thinking of something smart to say. hahaha! lack of sleep probably got the better of him, kaya tahimik lang sya. then sabi ni sarah for the 3rd time, "may asawa na pala kayo ate!" talagang di sya makapaniwala. hahaha! *insert blushing here*

after a 30-minute drive to the airport, we had a little downtime. while waiting for the others to finish checking in, napag-usapan na naman kami ni hubby je kasi tinanong ako ni raymond manalo kung may anak na kami, sabi ko wala pa. sabi bigla ni sarah "ate beng, ilang taon na po kayong kasal?" sabi ko 2 years... then ate dang (erik santos' sister) asked me kung ilang taon na ko, sabi ko 27. then nag-compute-compute na sila, sabi ni sarah, "25 years old kinasal si ate, ako kaya?" sabay tawa! si erik inasar na naman si sarah, "ikaw sarah? mga 38 years old." tawa nang tawa si sarah. sabi nya, "di na ko magkaka-anak non!" tawanan kami. tapos sabi nya bigla, "si mommy ata 23 kinasal eh" then kinakalabit nya mommy nya who was talking with sir jay (of viva) then, asking "mommy, ilang taon kayo kinasal ni daddy?" to which titaD replied with an irap "wag mo nang itanong!" tawanan kaming lahat! ayaw magpa-interview!

a few more chitchats, then it's time for them to go. nung magpapa-alam na, nag-hug na ko pa-isa-isa sa mga tao. i get to say goodbye to titaD, then to sarah. we hugged, and sobrang nakakatuwa kasi talagang sinabi nya yung name ko, "ate beng, thank you po ha! kita po tayo ulet!" sabay smile. to which i replied "oo, magkikita pa tayo ulet, kung di man dito, sa pinas siguro". i could just imagine hubby je's mind swirling forward to the next episode i'm gonna have. hehehe! then she smiled at me, "sige po ate beng, ingat kayo pauwi ha?". sooo sweet talaga at thoughtful... kasi she knows we'll drive 4 hours going home. tapos last si titoD, nakipag-kamay sa akin, gusto ko sana i-hug pero parang nakakahiya eh. hahaha!

while walking to the gates, i called on sarah, "sarah, last picture before you go!". she happily obliged and posed with me again. she's eating an apple (something i notice the artists are fond of, apples), and said something like "naku, baka may nakasingit pa sa ngipin ko!". hubby je took this shot.... and then it was goodbye sarah. *sniff sniff*
