gina? karen po!
i've been bumping into this petite, morena, young lady at the restroom. today, around 3 times already.
on the third time, nagkasabay kami palabas. she casually asked me, "are you a Filipina?". i said "yeah, are you?". "yes!" came her reply. then we instantly fell into this welcoming conversation in Tagalog.
she's 23 years old. moved to the US when she was 11, but has been going back and forth the US during her high school years. her family's originally based in Virginia, but moved to Florida 7 years ago. she instantly remembered my name, because her bf's name is Harvey. hehehe!
her name is Karen. i will definitely see her around coz we're on the same floor, but different teams. she likes going to the weekend parties at the Filipino restaurant. when i mentioned there are other pinoys around, she instantly cooked up a gimik for our small community. =P i can say "yes" right away, but the oldies might have other things to attend to. so i told her, we need to go out for lunch first so she could meet them all.
so far, there are 7 pinoys in our company... ate may, kuya fred, jon (the hilaw pinoy) and me... then came robert, karen, and another one i haven't met yet, victoria.
i'm all excited knowing there are other people i can go to in times of trouble. not that the others are not willing to help, but it's still different having somebody who understands the same quirks. =) we're taking over the company! hehehe! =P

ay, remember the lolo with his favorite apo? "gina" lagi nyang tawag, tapos sinasabi nung girl "lolo, karen po!". tapos she resigned herself na kasi alam nyang ulyanin na lolo nya. pero nung hinati ni lolo yung burger, sabi nya "ito, para sa paborito kong apo, si karen."
ay shet, sa mcdo ata yon! hahaha! =P
