sweet tooth... NOT!
first baking project namin ni Je kanina. actually, we didn't plan on it, pero hindi na kasi nagkasya lahat ng cornmeal sa bagong jar namin, kaya we decided to do some baking para di na namin sya i-store ulet sa paper packaging nya. cornmeal is a tastier version ng flour. =) sarap nya pang-breading sa fried chicken! ;-)
anyways, we followed the steps talaga.... egg, milk, oil, cornmeal, greased pan, 400 degrees and 20 minutes baking. so while waiting, ang bangu-bango sa kitchen namin! at pagbukas ng oven, wooo-hoooow, ambango talaga, at perfectly and evenly baked ang aming cornmeal bread. we were ecstatic! =)
ayan, taste test na. we sliced a small square, i took the first bite. after a few seconds, i knew something was wrong. he took a bite, di rin sya napa-"champion!". then we realized...
...walang asukal!....
hahaha! eh kasi naman, nasa "optional instructions" kaya sya, kung gusto daw ng "sweet" cornmeal bread ek-ek. asus! di ba given na yon?!
we ended up using honey on our bread. parang yung corn muffin pa naman sya ng Kenny Rogers, only it's squared... at walang asukal. hehehe! oh well, until the next kitchen adventure. =P

talaga?! pwede ba yon kahit hilaw pa? i mean, di ba nakakasuka yung lasa non? hehehe!
btw, nasa basurahan na yung cornmeal bread namin. after eating almost half, we decide we shouldn't "suffer" the consequences anymore. we could bake another batch. hehehe!

hmmm, ma-try nga minsan. siguro kumakain ka ng hilaw na cake no, jane? hehehe!
FYI, alam nyo ba, may measuring tools dito na "pinch", "dash", etc? it's like measuring tools for "1 cup, 1/2 cup, 1 teaspoon. etc".
you know, pag sa recipe, "add a pinch of salt", etc. grabe, pang-oc-oc talaga! natawa nga kami ni Je nung nakita namin sa kitchenwares eh. di ba parang figure of speech lang yon? hehehe!
