ambisyosa
...yan ang tawag ko sa sarili ko ngayon. i arrogantly told Je this morning, "magcacarbonara ako mamaya for dinner". ayan, napasubo ako. hehehe! not that he'll be throwing tantrums pag hindi ko tinuloy yung carbonara ko, but i wanna find out if i could pull it off. hehehe!
so ayun, ambisyosa ako na kaya kong iluto yon, without looking at a recipe book. i'm proud to say na once pa lang ako tumingin ng recipe book. actually, twice, pero counted as one na lang, kasi 1 dish lang naman eh, sweet and sour meat balls. i looked up the recipe for the sweet and sour sauce, and i also looked up what can be used as substitute for cornstarch, kasi wala pa kami non. =P flour lang pala, hehehe!
relying on my memory of that day na nagluto ng carbonara si tenten sa bahay, sige, naghiwa ako ng bell pepper at onions. nagbukas ako ng lata ng cream of mushroom, mushroom at evap milk. pinakuluan ko na yung chicken breasts, hihimayin ko later. shempre, nilagyan ko ng asin. all set na ko.
then i went blank. di ko talaga maalala kung may igigisa ba, or wala, or iba pang pakukuluan or whatever. so ang ginawa ko, i dumped everything in... the cream of mushroom, mushroom, evap milk, butter, hinimay na manok, bell pepper at onions... then pinakulo ko lang. halo-halo ng konti, then lagay ng asin at paminta.
as of this writing, hindi ko pa alam ang hatol sa eksperimento ko. kawawa naman si Je, laging guinea pig sa pagluluto ko. and being the appreciative, good husband that he is, nagsasabi naman sya ng "champion!" pag masarap ang kinalabasan. hinihintay ko na lang syang umuwi, kakain na kami. abangan ang susunod na kabanata. hehehe!

Calling Tenten, pwede bang pa-email ng famous recipe mo, para next time, sure shot na. hehehe! ;-)

hehehe! well, at least, tama naman yung finished product. i missed adding cheese nga pala, kaya nung ni-reheat namin yung sauce, nilagyan namin ng slices, wala pa kasi kaming cheese grater sa bahay. hehehe! =P lousy!
